And then that one mech had laser guns on its head. Clearly theres something not right about their technology, theres no consistency. Its definitely got something to do with the moon. The Earth claims that the relic exploded/was blown up, but theres the hints (or maybe it was outright stated) that they found something there that went haywire. They didnt sit around for 15 years for nothing.
