one of my favorite mcs but event 2 is basically the only time i've been really disappointed

Del's first real job was writing for Da Lench Mob (whom I've never listened to) and Ice Cube produced his first album or something, but yeah, I would think it more than possible Del wrote for Cube himself, but probably post Predator because goddamn that album is all 26 year old guy seeing LA burn like he said it would.

no problem. You should check out the whole album (called Wakedafucup); there's really not a bad song on it. All of it deliberately sounds like 1993 hip hop. Here is another good video for the album just released like 2 weeks ago:

Serious question and I am ashamed I do not know this: is this the only time DJ Muggs has ever actually rapped on a song before? It's so weird and out of place but he's like God-tier for rap producing so I was just wondering. The Chubby Checker "Popeye" being the entirety of "Jump Around" proves what a loving genius that guy is by the way.

that's terrible

I know people give RZA poo poo for that song but I actually like it. As corny as it is his flow is still smooth as poo poo and even rapping about something as stupid as girls he meets at the movies can be redeemable by RZA.

GZA's "Come Do Me" is inexcusable, though.

I finally found the other Christmas song by a ton of old school rappers (including run DMC) that came out in like 1996 and loving owns. Seriously people have had the audio on youtube and snippets of the music video on Youtube for years but it looks like someone finally recently found the full video. It's great (except for Puffy and Mase's parts; skip over that monotone garbage):

yeah the whole album is free here: http://stickyfingaz.bandcamp.com/

XXL gave it best 25 albums of the year so far.

"Dirty Cops" and "The Realest" and "Turndafucup" are my faves. The whole German production thing is cause Europeans still love them old school hip hop acts. Seriously if you wanna see any of your favorite 80s and 90s rappers live these days you gotta go to Europe (mostly Germany and Russia for whatever reason).

I once saw Gravediggaz in Leipzig and you would have thought it was the Beatles in NYC.

yeah, i lived in germany for a while and every rap song sounded like something out of nyc ca. 1994. that's not a bad thing but it was pretty distinctively different from what he had/have going

I was rolling to work in this today, Blaring Dr. Dre's Nuthin' but a G thang, as I do:

Unfortunately, I had my 32gb usb drive on random, and just as I pulled into the 711, my stereo chose to play Cyndi Laupers "The goonies 'R' good enough" at top volume as I pulled up next to a cadillac full of 4 thuggish looking black dudes. I am VERY white. I was basically this dude:

I wish I was kidding about any of this...

That song rules, but Cyndi refused to do it for 20 years because of how bad the video shoot for it was.
