Yes hello it is I Kurt's Secret Son

So Punk can't save us, Bryan can't save us, now Rollins can't even save us. Only Surfer Sting and his protege Kenta can save us from the horrible bad wrestling golem.

Also Cena is totally going to beat Lesnar and never mention it again because that's how the last 10 years worked.

I've never "got" Ric Flair.
I've just watched the clip on YouTube of appearance last night and he just looked a bit of a geriatric. It comes across as quite sad when you're not a big fan of his. I respect all he did for wrestling, don't get me wrong.

Renee looked absolutely sensational last night though, and she was a good interviewer too. I hope she continues to make her way up the ladder to the RAW commentary table one day.

Wouldn't be shocked if they planned on continuing the Miz/Sheamus thing through Summerslam. Have Miz win the IC title at Battleground, which would give him a solid rub since he's been off of everyone's radar for so long, and then have Sheamus merge the titles at Summerslam. Presto.

There is no doubt that the storyline is stupid, but Paige is not a good talker in the least. She's had plenty of opportunities to speak, and nothing, from her mannerisms to her emotions, comes across organic. Even the whole scream-o thing is cringe inducing.

Maybe they had Cena give Flair the Big Gold Belt as a stupid, lovely way of splitting the titles again and Flair will come out and award it to someone. I'm sure I'm wrong, but WWE is just dumb enough to do that.

I dunno she seemed absolutely genuine when she won the title, and I see nothing wrong with her scream at all. I think people here just like to pick on small things that I am sure will be fixed over time and experience. Just because every angle she has been put on is bad doesn't mean she is bad.

If Rollins was a work, they really shouldn't have blueballsed us with an Ambrose fight at Battleground since that was the one match I was actually looking forward to.

I was hoping AJ would chew Paige out for acting like a weirdo and coming out to all her matches.

I also never got Flair, even in the mid 90s I hated him. Woo was always stupid.

I love Ric Flair and that was awful last night. It's just pretty much how he is these days. It doesn't help that WWE never gives him much to do outside of "Be Ric Flair". Kudos to Renee for not losing it in that crappy segment though.

WWE doesn't actually want Flair to be Flair, they want him sober and sticking to a script.

Oh I don't think she's bad; she's a good wrestler and really good for the women's division. I'm just not a fan of her out-of-ring work at this point.

Also, I was really hoping they were going to do something big with Flair, like turn him heel and align him with someone (Rollins?). The whole shaking The Shield's hands then winking at Triple H a couple of months ago seemed like a setup for something...but I guess not.

There's no way a 40-second video like that cost $200,000, unless they're including Sting's appearance fee in that and WWE are paying out the nose for every second he's on screen, or there was much more to the video which was cut.

Well, they probably also had to pay a couple grand or so for each of the orchestra members, so that likely drove the cost up a bit.

Not to $200K. It's just not possible unless there's a much much longer extended cut that they'll use for something else. I don't think they'd have paid nearly that much for each of the orchestra people either.

Cesaro is going to win the IC battle royale by throwing Khali over the top rope in a recreation of his WM30 win. Or maybe Big Show is in there for some reason and it's an identical retread. Because someone thinks that will "reset" his heat + added bonus of now also having a belt.

Well here's the casting call. You're probably right. Just saw there was only one shoot day.

quote:

Project Name: WWE “Orchestra”
Project Type: Promo
Rate/Compensation: $650 per day plus 20% agency
Shoot Dates: 06/16/14

Role Role Type Gender/Age/Ethnicities Description/Note

Body double for STING Photo Double Male / 38 to 50 / Caucasian, Ethnically Ambiguous, Hispanic, Mixed, Multi-Ethnic 6’2, 250lb of pure muscle. Prefer a guy with wrestling experience, very fit. HEAVILY muscular. Slightly longer dark hair. Will have a full face of make up on (see attached photo). paying a higher rate as we need a GREAT double for this.

Orchestra musicians with own instruments Principal Male or Female / 18 to 70 / All Ethnicities.

Looking for an orchestra of 14 musicians, all with own instruments – ideally a full orchestra who play together regularly. They will be “fake” playing in the promo, music will be dubbed in. All will be wearing the face paint that Sting is known for (see attached pic). Must be OK with heavy face makeup. Any leads on full orchestras who would love to make some money, would be awesome!! Open to all ages (over 18) and for the most part, people will be unrecognizable.”

Was the double in the video? Maybe I just missed him but if he wasn't used then it's highly likely they've shot more and can use that for promos and stuff, maybe in-game vids for 2K15. Kind of like that one shoot they did way back in the Attitude Era with all the wrestlers in a factory walking through fire and stuff.

Yep. I've seen a lot of knee / hamstring injuries in sports that look like nothing happened, but turned out to be major tears putting them out for months. Hell, the World Cup comes to mind and all of the random leg injuries baseball players get running to first base.

Either way, Dean Ambrose using Seth's crutch as a weapon could be fun.

Except the part where Meltz himself says it's a work. And I know Dave's not the gospel or anything but on something like this I absolutely trust him.

Also I still don't get how people thought the ending was unusually chaotic or sloppy or anything. I still think they shoulda had Rollins involved (assuming it's a work) and Ambrose come out, but as it stands it's the build to literally every main event PPV Fatal Four Way WWE has done for years.
