They probbbaly could have gotten more out of Milone, but I suspect most teams are aware that he's largely a product of Oakland's park/defense and his value wasn't as high as you'd think. Like I said, despite his rep, Billy doesn't really gently caress around trying to fleece people for the most part. He just gets whatever he thinks he needs done done. Milone wanted out, he needed outfield depth with Crisp hurt, and obviously they like Fuld at least a little since he was with them early in the year.

It's not as terrible as I thought. and I was expecting Miller to be gone, but sounds like a pitching prospect and a ML ready OF (grichuk or piscotty?). and yeah the $500k option for next year is nice.

I'm thrilled with this, Kelly has been bad since he came back and not a whole lot better than mediocre before that. Allen Craig has completely sucked all year long.

I'm not all that opposed to this trade as a Red Sox fan but that's mostly because gently caress John Lackey. I would have preferred a different guy coming back vs Joe Kelly but whatever.

I have a really hard time believing they can get Price without giving up Taveras (which for whatever it's worth is a trade I would do if I were them, even after the Lackey trade). I can't see Miller still having that much prospect sheen left on him with the way he's pitched this year and the way they treated him at the end of last year.

Morosi is claiming Price has come up in Tigers trade talks, but I can't see what of value the Tigers could send back. Smyly or Ray could be useful kick-ins but couldn't be the centerpiece of that sort of trade, right?
