The precedent was set a few seasons ago when this happened and the player in question came on as a sub for the last 10 minutes, of which the team he was playing was already like 4-0 up. Uefa just fined the club instead.

That was a different situation though, right? That one was just the team forgetting to put the player on the team-sheet I thought. Presumably UEFA is stricter when it comes to bans and the like (and indeed the rules linked on twitter are specifically for this situation and wouldn't be relevant in the previous case with the fine).

Yep, that's presumably the difference between these two scenarios. We hosed up the paperwork, there's really no excuse, Polish jokes are there for a reason and here's another one.

Twente & PSV have no excuses not to make the group stage, Zwolle should just be happy to be here and for Feyenoord it's going to be tricky.

Probably not no, but it's certainly a decent draw compared to Napoli or Arsenal... and it's close to home, unlike Zenit.

Word on the Warsaw street is that they're rather looking to contain the Scottish fans in a safe zone in the city and give them yellow badges to make it easier to identify themselves to the authorities in case of trouble

It's the management coming up with bullshit to mitigate the fact they hosed up. The ultras are getting really pissed off and they're doing what they can to deflect the blame.

There is no sporting integrity when CL money is involved. The general public will forget all about this in a couple of weeks and Celtic are rightly ignoring the issue. Legia's ownership should shut the gently caress up and move on.

Is there any word about what Legia ownership plan to do to whomever is responsible for this happening? I imagine somebody is going to pay for the club missing out on CL money this way.

Four employees have been suspended and a club icon, a literal living legend who played for Legia and then worked there for 60 years quit. No idea what's going to happen to those suspended, but I presume they'll get fired. The person chiefly responsible for this whole mess is the only woman match delegate in Europe.
