Check out that new thread smell man. Kingsman looks pretty great considering the comics are pretty much poo poo. That cast is pretty legit too.

I like her because she projects the authority to control someone who no one else can get a handle on, but they've never made her a dower sourpuss who's just waiting to jump at the first chance to be a wet blanket. I find her to be thoroughly boring and uninteresting as an actress. And if you've ever read a single gossip site you know she's a horrible human being.

Davros1 posted:Chris Evans was in a Marvel movie (Fantastic Four), a DC movie (The Losers), a indie comic movie (Scott Pilgrim), Marvel movies again (Cap), then indie again (Snowpiercer). If the Rock is signing on the play Captain Marvel that's going to be a multi-film commitment, he's not going to be going over to Universal to be Namor anytime within that contract. Not even close to the same circumstances. Also Push was a comic book that never got made, ended up as a film and then had a tie in comic produced. So that counts on his resume too.

Everything I've seen seems unfunny but I can't tell if that's just me being exposed to a certain portion of it or if I just find the character unappealing. Joe Kelly defined Deadpool's humor, Christopher Priest held the ship steady. Fabian Niceaza did a reasonable job keeping it consistent. Then Daniel Way came along and poo poo on Deadpool for 6 & 1/2 years.

She was perfectly fine on How I Met Your Mother, but I just couldn't get over how bad she was in Avengers, and didn't improve any for Cap 2. She's yet another case of a fair level of talent being overshadowed by her immense physical attractiveness and being cast because of it. She was Whedon's front runner for Wonder Woman when he was involved in that mess. He even admitted he had not met her at first, just that she looked the part.

Maybe DC should farm out some of their properties to studios who actually want to make decent films.
