Everyone has their own interpretation of Wuthering Heights. Some think its played straight, and others think its a stealth comedy. I read a book once where all the characters were whiny cunts who I hated. It took place on Bikini Atoll right before the big nuclear test, and it consisted of everyone bitching and moaning about nukes and radiation and war being hell for 200 pages. It ended with the main characters rowing out into the middle of the nuclear test site with the aim of blinding the bombardier with the reflection of the sun off a bunch of tin cans. Seriously. But the sun was out that day or something, and the nuke gets dropped and kills all of them. I did a little fistpump. More books need to end that way.
