like i mean besides flare blitz it's what, fire fang/fire punch/blaze kick? and they're all mediocre/bad.

blaze kick is 85 power but it gets 90% accuracy for god knows what reason and a 1/10 chance of wasting your turn on something with the durability of a typical fire/fighting is a Bad Idea.

and yes water is the most common type, by a landslide

(as of hg) 17 types of pokemon, 638 total, 109 of them are water.

Also there being only three special fightIng moves, two of those rare (aura sphere, vacuum wave) and the other notoriously unreliable (focus blast).
