My friend streamed the that guy with glasses movies once, to watch and make fun of and I couldn't even enjoy reveling in how bad they were. Doug Walker is such an over-actor, he overanimates more than a cartoon character and can't even remotely talk like a normal human.

I like to listen to long playlists of AVGN and NC and sometimes Spoony as background noise while I do something else on the computer. On their own I would never watch them, but I don't know if that's because they're boring or because I have a short attention span. The skits are definitely horrible though.

There are a few people on that site who are okay; Paw's music movie isn't horrible to watch though he is guilty of over acting some times. Todd in the Shadow's is okay with one hit wonders. Obscurus Lupa manages not to be annoying but some times she can review some pretty mediocre stuff which gives her little to work with. Brows Held High is actually good. A lot of the side skits people do on TGWTG are really annoying, Doug Walker included. His seem to get less and less tolerable as time goes on though. Linkara's comic reviews are worse because he is whiny and manages to be louder than the Nostalgia Critic. He basically puts himself in a Gary-stu fan fiction where he is an invulnerable hero who is smarter than everyone else and has a magical spaceship. Linkara fits the bill for a pretty stereotypical libraterian; is he also a brony too?

It was still pretty stupid and not good and made me feel awkward when I tried to show my friends the videos. e: like, I just don't get why internet critics can't resist the temptation to sway from what people are watching their videos for and fluff them with bad acting and bullshit. What drives me crazy is that angry video game nerd is a nice guy actually but his process of making videos is loving INSANE. He has a youtube where he goes over how he does it, and it literally involves recording the game footage to a loving VHS or DVD and then he manually goes through it on his computer to edit the footage and add his commentary. I'm not asking for live commentary streamed to twitch, but Jesus Christ dude get a video capture card.

He'd still be writing down the time stamp of moments he wants to talk about, because it would be far more time inefficient to play a game for 10 hours then watch the whole thing back in real time to find footage.

Rolfe admitted in that video he does that because he's literally been editing since like the early 90s when that was the ONLY way to record game footage. He's just so used to the process, and it works for him, that he never bothered to upgrade because he has it down to a science. He also doesn't use save states, emulators or cheats either, which means he literally sits his rear end on a couch and gets to the latter levels in majorly hard games by himself. I applaud his dedication which also means I don't have to hear "wait a minute...*sounds of keyboard clicking*...*emulator menu pops up, options hit in silence*...OK, it's fixed". It's like me paying bills via mailing cheques. Yes, I could do direct deposit but I've been using the mail so often, kind of like the charm, that I don't mind paying for stamps and walking to the mailbox.
