I know one of the two incidents happened on Turning Point 04, don't remember when the other happened. Edit: They called it Cookiegate. It seems to only be on Russian pirate sites now, I'm guessing because TNA put it on their #50 greatest moments DVD and they try to protect that stuff. Anyone got the footage of when Christian was forced to do the PPV for them as part of the Flair at the hall of fame thing, where he looked like he didn't want to be there at all, and it later turned out the only reason he was there was because HHH demanded he go?

I was really excited when NWA-TNA started up because the WWE needed a counterpart and they had a number of guys who I was a fan of and/or thought weren't getting shots elsewhere. I was a huge Ken Shamrock mark, and also a big fan of Christopher Daniels, Jerry Lynn, Steve Corino, etc. and wanted to see more of the up and coming indy guys like Styles, Amazing Red and many others. They actually provided a pretty good alternative between the garbage segments, so we ordered the first couple PPVs but quickly lost interest. I later bought those PPVs and many more from a geocities tape trading site and still have them in a box in the basement. I haven't watched TNA in probably 10 years aside from the random recommended match, but it is amazing how they essentially got rid of everything that made the company unique or interesting in favor of WWE castoffs and over the top extreme angles. It's like they read the Death of WCW and said "let's try all this stuff but our way will work" and what do you know, it didn't work.

That TNA VKM stable (formerly the New Age Outlaws at the time, VKM was a jab at Vincent Kennedy McMahon) sent out a million dollar challenge to D-Generation X to compete in an open match. Dixie thought Vince would respond and actually froze the million dollars.

Mr. Carlisle posted:What's the context behind this? Haven't heard of it and it sounds hilarious. The Voodoo Kin Mafia (VKM, Vincent Kennedy McMahon) was the New Age Outlaws in TNA. Road Dogg and Billy Gunn did a shoot where they buried HHH that got some press so TNA decided to run with it. This led to extremely lovely segments, including one where the VKM turned up to a WWE house show (They bought tickets) and then stood in the audience heckling DX, who just pointed and waved at them because they ether had no clue what was going on or were in on it and knew that the VKM were just working people to get money. Road Dogg later went back to the WWE and Billy Gunn did a gimmick in TNA where he was the effeminate friend of the Beautiful People before also going back to the WWE. It lead to nothing because WWE just ignored them, probably laughed at the efforts internally.
