Watcher had come up and introduced himself in the time it took for her to get the forearm grip on her gun adjusted. she gave him a quick look. Watcher... watcher... There was some memory of one of the sisters talking about how they had an alpha giving them some field practice - apparently getting lessions from the surviving Centurions was something rather revered. A pang of jealousy hit her as some of her new team quickly struck up small talk, and she took to giving a quick nod at the new comer and going back to focus on her equipment.

Fascinating, all I require is just a vibroblade with a mono-molecular edge and a blaster carbine with a weapon sling for me, sir. As long as the gear that I came with is going with me on this mission, I'll be fine.

Mustache Ride

"Right, I think that's everything. You... whats you're name now private?" Sides looks at Squeaks who was busy recording what kind of weapons you all want.

"Uhh, Squeaks, sir. Yessir, what can I do?"

"Go to my cabin, corridor 231 Cabin 1954 and grab one of the vibroblades off the wall above my bunk. Don't cut yourself with it, its very sharp, even when turned off. Also in the locker below the bunk there are 4 Vibroknives in a hard dewback hide case, we'll need those as well."

As Squeaks scurries off to fetch the knives, Sides walks around the large weapons warehouse gathering the unique weapons you've requested. Luckily the more custom ARC weapons, the DC-17ms, the Rotary Blaster, the PX-1s, those are all in close locations. He hands each of you you're requested weapons without saying a word. When he returns to his workbench, a few clone privates appear with your collect travel lockers containing your other special gear. He also hands Twangs a custom made quiver containing 40 arrows with blue feltches, and 10 others with red. "The red are the explosive tipped that were sent with the plans that accompanied your bow. I'll have a larger batch ready in a week or so, if you'd like. I've never made arrows before, so I hope those work okay." He looks at you like you're crazy as you strap the quiver on to your armor.

Squaks rushes back in carrying the large Vibroblade and the Dewback Case. Sides puts his hands up to his face once he sees the private. "Don't run with those, you idiot, you'll fall and cut someone's arm off." Snatching the blade from Squeak's hands, he pulls a plastic sheath from his workbench, and slides it in before handing it to Scar. "Sorry about that sir, here is your weapon, its from my personal stash, but you're more than welcome to it. Unfortunately I haven't put a mono--molecular edge on it, but I can work on the other one and have it ready for you after this mission."

Reaching into the dewback case, he pulls four identical vibroknives and hands one to Haven, Firebeacon and Stims. The last he clips on his belt.

"Okay sirs, that should be everything, Squeaks will show you to your hangar, let me know if I can assist you again when you return. Good luck."

Squeaks leads you off towards the hangar deck, looking stymied at the amount of weaponry an 8 man team is carrying.

Humping his gear with the rest of the new unit, they must cut a pretty imposing figure. It's hard to tell if people are giving way because of them, or because Squeaks is leading the way yelling "Make a Hole!" and "Gangway!". Either way, it works. Lockdown hopes the little guy makes it, he's got potential once you shave off the cherry.

He enters the hangar and waves over one of the deck techs, "Technician, is there anything we need to know about the shuttle here? We're taking it down to the surface shortly." He pauses for just a second and adds, "Also, can you ensure that someone gives us all a fresh load of crypto, losing comms down there is the last thing we need to have happen. Thank you." As the he talks with the tech, he moves towards the shuttle, giving it a once over with the trusty mark 1 eyeball.

Inside the hangar, you find two craft. Haven's prized LAAT with the fearsome Krayt Dragon painted on the nose, and a standard CIS Escort Shuttle.

Strangely enough, when you peek through the front windows, you see the distinct head of a B-1 Pilot droid looking back at you.

The technicians have all stopped when you stroll in the hangar. When Lockdown asks his question one approaches you. "Uh, yes sirs. The shuttle has been prepped and ready for liftoff sir. We've got new comm encryption loaded with the droid inside per the commander's orders. He'll let you know the update comm encryption protocols for your comm-links sir. The ARCs troop into the hangar following Squeaks, who is only marginally more nervous than Ghest. He squints up at the droid suspiciously, and opens his mouth to ask about the anomaly. Fortunately he is interrupted by the explanation. Of course they would need a droid pilot to pilot a droid ship. Good thing he didn't say anything. "Huh," is all he mumbles.

"Well, no time like the present." Ghest starts up the ramp and starts poking at his commlink, awaiting instructions on how to properly sync the device. He also sweats profusely, but that could just be a side effect of his gene splice, right?

Haven smirks, but does his best to keep his opinion of the welded R2 Unit. Droids were notoriously cranky, and he didn't want to take any chances. Sitting in the pilot seat, the clone briefly remembers his first assignment doing cargo runs in something roughly equivalent to what he was flying now. It was not a happy time.

He secures his gear and tabs the comm. "Okay clones, we're locked and cleared. Last chance to be somewhere else."

I never finalized my gear; I'm assuming getting a missile launcher instead of the proton charges is fine?

The droid continues to talk about his "Very high security clearance" and how "He's much more important than you silly clones" as Haven eases the shuttle out into space and makes towards the fourth planet in the system. Not long after he leaves the shadow of the planet the Gunslinger is hiding behind, the shuttle reaches the planet and is hailed by CIS defenses.

"ATTENTION CIS SHUTTLE. We have you on our scanners, please authenticate and transmit codes."

"CIS, code authorization Tango Delta 8832 for Shuttle 81572 with a team of repair specialist for the droid forge inbound. Transmitting authorization codes now."

After a few quick moments, the planet comes back with a positive reply of codes received and verified, and you're past the orbital defenses.

Here we have some choices.

You can make a descent into the base now at any time. If you want you can take some time to do some of the following:

Computers check to try to do a Generic scan the planet and the base. Average () Difficulty.
Computers check to specify on one thing from orbit (volcano, hidden tunnels, etc. Hard () Difficulty.

Piloting Check to Land at the base (no drop to the power station). Easy () Difficulty
Piloting Check to Land while conceling a drop of crew at the power station. Hard () difficulty.

Any other check to do something interesting in orbit will automatically be a Hard Check with one dice upgraded to a Challenge Dice. ()

Force Dice: Mission 1: 8eF 5 Light Side, 8 Dark Side

It clearly shows that the Separatists have something hidden in the cauldron of the volcano, what it could be is still a mystery, however.

TwoBeeOne responds to Haven, "Since we have started our descent the have not questioned us, it seems that they were just curious why we were holding orbit while we completed our scans. These B1 droid controllers don't have much imagination, you know..."

As Haven brings the shuttle around above the power generators, you are ready to make your drop. As the back hatch opens up a small red light flashes above the hatch. When you are over the drop zone, it flashes green, and off you go!

Roll an Athletics, Coordination or Vigilance check to land. Failure may mean you break something, so I might suggest you use a Force Dice to upgrade your skill check. If you would like to wait and land in the water, you can add a boost to your check, however you'll be wet.

As the troopers depart the shuttle, Haven lines it up for a landing at the Landing Platform of the main base. TwoBeeOne turns his head and faces Haven as he settles the Shuttle down successfully. "You know, you're not a bad pilot for a clone. Feel free to pilot my shuttle any time you want.

If they come ask about the shuttle, I'll play the dumb little Pilot Droid. And if they attempt to board I'll take off and strafe the base, but I can't pull off any complex maneauvers, most of my astromech gear has been replaced by these drat droid parts."
