It's funny because a good part of my basic training class joined BECAUSE they knocked up a girl. Babies are expensive? We don't have health insurance? Well I guess I better join the Army they'll cover that. And as a bonus I'll get a lot of time away from them and maybe I'll die!

The cost of education is retarded in the US, it's nice that at least one someone is able to get a degree without being tens of thousands of dollars in debt afterwards.

That's what every minimum wage place does whenever anyone orders anything that takes longer than three seconds to get.

I was put into a short timers platoon full of people ETSing or PCSing. The E7 in charge was a huge cockhole and kept saying he wasn't going to let anybody sham out with fake appointments and that they we were going to work until our last day god drat it because the Army duty blah blah  . I just signed up for every single appointment possible and gave him the slips, then just stayed at my buddies house and got drunk and played Xbox.

I got out with a poo poo ton of cash and NJ unemployment was like two years and just a few dollars short of my active duty pay. I drank myself into oblivion until my dad came home for lunch one day three months after I got out and found me asleep in the tub surrounded by bottles. So then I got my own place and did the same thing, and then got a job like a weenie and then school. So total I spent about 6 months being a useless bum when I could've spent 2 years. I failed.
