I shed a few tears when I finally figured out in Zelda: A Link to the Past how to fall through the floor to get the Moon Pearl. I think it was more of tears of frustration and joy than sadness because up to that point I had spent weeks wandering around that loving castle trying to figure out how to get to the big chest.

Also I was 9.
