America is the best and, in this thread, we're going to prove it. We're going to do that by sticking our wieners into the cuisines of the world. This will demonstrate that everything is better with a hot dog and, by extension, that everything is better with America. So post your international/cross cultural hot dog recipes, post photos of your creations. I'll get the ball rolling by tackling a place that's kind of America, but not really. Hot dogs of Hawaii Gyu-dog slice and saute a large yellow onion add 1 pack of hot dogs simmer the dogs and onion in a mixture of soy sauce, dashi, and mirin (the blend should be equal parts savory and salty and just a little sweet. Use real mirin, not the corn syrup stuff) serve a properly simmered dog on a bun with some of the onion slices top with beni shoga Teridog boil up some hot dogs in teriyaki sauce serve on a bun with mayo a teridog deluxe is the same as above but with tomato and onion. The tourist dog is a teridog deluxe with pineapple chunks. Filipino spaghetti on a bun chop a few cloves of garlic and dice an onion, optionally dice a few bell peppers or some zucchini saute your garlic, onions and vegetables add equal parts tomato puree and banana sauce add a little thyme and oregano simmer add hot dogs simmer some more fish a hot dog out of the sauce and place it on a bun, top with sauce and American cheese

hot dogs are directly representative of the hegemony of industrialism and are only indirectly representative of American hegemony (as American hegemony is mediated throug the hegemony of industrialism)

Neighborhood bar here serves a Mad Dog which is fantastic. 1/4 pound dog, split and filled with pepper jack cheese, then wrapped in bacon and deep fried, on a big rear end bun. Good poo poo, man

Corn is in like 98% of all American food now though. Pretty sure hotdogs are like 70% corn.
