The Chopper storyline would make a good Dredd movie. If you don't know it, Chopper is a graffiti artist who rides a hover board in illegal races. Dredd tries to bring hom down and it turns into a freedom rallying cry by the whole of the city. It could be well done.

Can HBO just do a weekly hour long Judge Dredd Law and Order type show? I mean, they put up crappy shows all the time, why not something totally awesome?

Dredd made me love Urban in an altogether non manly way. Dude gets mad props for not having an ego about taking off the mask and realising that the source material is king. Dread (2012) owns bones and anyone who disagrees is dumb.

Just wanna say Karl urban is an unrepentant baller in everything he's in, such as chronicles of riddick, one of the best movies of all time, also featuring Tom waits as boba fett.

Dredd is a way better Robocop movie than the remake of that, which is weird because the original Robocop was a way better version of Judge Dredd than the Stallone film.

Dredd is a good movie. All this punisher talk isn't though because we already got a good punisher movie with Thomas Jane. Also that fan film thing with Jane and Ron Perlman.

gently caress 3D. I won't pay to see a single lovely movie in that format. This is why no one went to see Dredd in the theatre. Making the movie R rated, combined with shooting for a target audience of 3D watchers, it was ensured that nobody who could see the movie would even want to.

I thought to myself, "thats some loving tight scriptwriting." A great case of letting the audience fill in the blanks. I always loved the Dredd comics and I love the Dredd movie because it's pure and everyone making it obviously had a blast. Urban nailed Dredd and Lena Heady played one of the greatest cool bad guys since Clarance Boddicker. I liked Sharlto Copely's cyber hobo ninja craziness in Elysium. But Ma-ma is loving iconic in that part. If you don't believe me look at the scene when she is asked if they should skin the guys and throw them over the ledge. She is a million miles away. These people are less than nothing. I could write an essay about that film. It did so much right. It's delivery of "I am the Law" is a statment of intent and a warning in one. He is an agent of the Law. Stallone's is a blustering arrogant splutter to assert dominance. "I yam der lawr" The sequels were supposed to cover the democracy marches and the total war terrorist group (democracy is outlawed in the big meg and is used as a subtle comment on communism and recently on the 9/11 fallout) Such a shame Also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fJ8jeAmsMU Dat soundtrack...
