the late great ali farka toure is probably the most famous guy, he's amazing, and he has many children who have also grown up to be musicians, cause mali sort of has a caste system (which sucks) and they're of the musician caste (which sounds cool but it's caste so it still sucks)

actually i've seen tons of malian live acts recently and they've all been amazing, and then i realize the likely reason i'm seeing so many mali musicians come through

bombino is another really good guy, also tuareg but he's from Niger and he was in exile a whlie too but i think has returned now

E: Mother confronted me with her concerns. I negotiated that the face book post I made was to be saved and explained in therapy. While she went off to work, I sent copies of the post to some close friends whom I feel will understand the best. My goal is to write it better to make my family feel less worried about me going too fast. The goal itself is to prevent a paradigm shift by uniting and sharing knowledge at any level of comfort.

I hope you feel better soon and mentally get to a place where you don't post like this here, because it's not really an appropriate place, but I genuinely wish you all the best
