The best thing I've seen on COPS is the guy who was being harassed for walking down the street and got tased for politely asking the cop for identification since he wasn't in uniform. Cop paraded around as hero THIN BLUE LINE.

When I was little I saw cops a few times then asked my parents why all criminals have weird names like Latisha or Jesus. My little kid brain started to think it would be easy to stop crime if we just kept an extra close eye on anyone with a weird name. It was explained to me that the show is police propaganda to reinforce that very idea, and we stopped watching it.
