I don't think it's fair, Ally's done remarkably well to bring a club with no previous history from league 2 to second in the championship in such a short time.

What the gently caress is actually going on over at the newco? Some are saying McCoist could either be in charge until next year, picking up high wages for being an abstract failure and potentially missing out on an essential promotion - or take a juiicy big payoff from a club that is already close to financial meltdown. Either way he's a fat, money grabbing cocksocket and it's hilarious.

He won't do walking away when the club is skint and won't be able to pay him off so he'll continue as manager until such a time they win the lottery. The game against Celtic is going to be historically bad.

Lol, he never took a wage cut, all he did was take a deferral which is why the papers were given a figure of £1.4 Million to get rid of him. What a guy.

That's what they need to find to make the end of the season according to their own accountants, before you take into account paying off McCoist. As of now Ashley has loaned them 3 Million secured on land at the stadium and put in £0

Probably. He's put enough in now he'll keep it going since he clearly thinks there is money to be made and is almost certainly right. I expect he'd own the club outright for that much though. Most of the debt Newcastle owe him, which is a loan without interest iirc, came from him using his own money to pay for the season after we got relegated

He already owns all the merchandising rights which is about the only bit that makes money. We'll find out after the AGM on the 22nd anyway.

I'd say surely someone at Rangers must have known about that rule but considering how badly they're run it seems unlikely.

Phone posting so links aren't playing ball, but Tonev's lost his appeal. Interesting that there was no corroborating evidence, just Logan saying he did it and Tonev saying he didn't. Tribunal convicted because they believed Logan more. If he has said it, then he needs to leave the club. No place for it.

blue footed boobie posted:Can someone give me the tldr of what happened this time? Did the people in charge just divert all the funds away? Combination of utterly ludicrous spending on players wages to win the 4th and 3rd division ( which are comprised of part time teams ) as well as crooks like Charles Green hoovering millions out the club into his pockets. Green gave himself millions of pounds worth of shares when he set up new rangers as well as paying himself £300,000 a year with a 100% bonus if they won they league. They've burned through around £70 million pounds in just under three years. Super Ally being paid £750,000 a year plus £100,000 expenses to bulldoze amateurs didn't help the situation much either. From the sources I've been reading (namely http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jan/04/rangers-robert-sarver-bid and http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-directors.html) it appears we could be heading for a proxy war over shares between Sarver and the Three Bears group, the latter of whom is lead by--of loving course--Dave King. Factor in that Mike Ashley is being pressured into making a decision from fans of both Newcastle and Rangers over which club he really wants to keep, and it just keeps getting curiouser and curiouser.
