The Cable Guy is one of those movies that I just notice more and more every time I watch it. Not necessarily something in the background kind of stuff, but just how everything fits together so neatly. Everything the Cable Guy does at a particular time in the movie makes sense but everything he does is also setting up stuff later for him to use to his own advantage.

One of my favorites: Split. Saw this back when it came out (1989? 1990?) and couldn't find it again for a long time. It's hard to describe; a poorly-acted psychedelic humor/sci-fi hero-vs-big-brother movie featuring bad early CGI. A write-up on it: http://dailygrindhouse.com/thewire/25th-anniversary-project-split-1989/ Not one that can be found on Netflix, but the filmmaker (Chris Shaw) now sells Split DVDs: http://www.chrisshorts.com/splitflickHeadRad2.html

I'll straight up admit that I love The Waterboy. I don't really care much for any of Adam Sandler's films, but for me it's the supporting cast in this film that makes it. Henry Winkler, Jerry Reed, Fairuza Balk all have these lines and moments that are pretty awesome. But holy poo poo Kathy Bates makes me laugh whenever I watch this movie. Foosball!
