What, you want your MR GM V6 swapped Golf to be practical? Meh, the engine clearly has more space than it needs. I say make your shelf, modify the roof scoop so the passage rises before it goes through the hole so it doesn't drink as much water and duct it down- that way you don't have to fill the bigass hole in the roof. Also I think a fresh harness is a good idea, it's not like donors aren't plentiful for either car. Turbo Fondant fucked around with this message at 16:25 on Aug 17, 2014 |

Its coating must be either boring or all-out ridiculous- but it could be both simultaneously.

It's the GM cluster so I can't see why not. I think those clusters use a PWM signal from the ECU for all the info but it might just be an ordinary bunch of gauges.

They're alright if you're using factory wheels, though still a mild pain in the rear end. But once you get into multi-fit wheels (or wheels off a different car with a larger hub bore) without adapter rings, or have broken rotor retainers like FuzzKill poo poo gets massively painful very quickly. Studs are just easier. And let's not get into all the Mercedes parking brakes I've seen destroyed by people who used the wrong length of lug when changing wheels.

That's got nothing to do with the bolts, it's just a tendency for the hubs/wheels to seize together. A handful of brands have it bad, but BMW is by far the worst. One time while pulling a set of E30 bottlecaps at a junkyard I had to get the loader op to drop the car with all the weight on the last wheel, and it still took 3 hits
