Runners at second and third with one out. Can't get a run. Stop depressing me Mariners.

I just looked at the score. The Twins scored NINE runs? They lead 15-5? That's amazing.

With 2 outs, keeping the bases loaded seems better than risking one of the best arms ending the inning.

So, Cano and Chavez without a hit in this inning, right?

I really enjoy watching the Mariners bang out a hit parade and bat around. They did it a couple of weeks ago against Toronto and they did it again today.

Come on C Young, they staked you 7 runs and you struck out two in a row. You couldn't get out of the 4th?

Ortiz gets beaned accidentally and Cano gets hit the next inning. Coincidence? I doubt it.

So, hypothetically, if the season was over right now, the As and Angels would have a 1 game playoff for the West title and the loser of that game would play Mariners for the Wild Card?

The Athletics are leading the Angels in the season series 8-3, so I guess they'd take the West, but is the Wild Card taken by whichever of the two teams has a better season record against the other?

Okay, cool, looks like I was right. The As and Angels would play with the AL West title on the line. The loser would be the second Wild Card team and they'd play the Mariners for that spot. What a heartbreaker it would be if the Mariners won that game. Tied for first in the Division and not going to the playoffs.
