Jack Harrison The front door opens, and in steps a man in a suit and tie carrying a suitcase. Giving it to Marcus, he takes off his sunglasses, and says, "Gentlemen, ladies. Harrison, US Secret Service. Are y'all the rest of the team?" He steps over to the coffee pot, pours himself a cup, and then starts emptying packets of artificial sweetener in it. pre:Character Name: Jack Harrison Character Type: Pre-Heroic Profession: USSS Security Specialist Description/Concept: Disgraced Secret Service Agent Sphere of Influence: Law Enforcement PRIMARY ATTRIBUTES 15 Strength 2 Dexterity 3 Constitution 2 Intelligence 3 Perception 3 Willpower 3 SECONDARY ATTRIBUTES Life Points 26 Endurance 26 Speed 8 Essence 15 CHARACTER TRAITS Race/Species: Human Gender: Male Age: 27 Handedness: Right Height: 6’2” Weight: 210 Hair Colour: Brown Eye Colour: Brown Skin Tone: Tan QUALITIES Cost - 6 Influence (Law Enforcement) 2 2 Resources (Middle Class) 2 Status 2 2 DRAWBACKS Cost - 10 Obligation (Total) 3 Honorable (Serious) 2 Humorless 1 Disgraced 2 Notoriety 2 PULLING STRINGS Cost – 9 CEASEFIRE 1 Counterintelligence Files 1 Criminal Tracking 1 Governmental Access 1 Intel Files 1 Official Agendas 1 Personnel Tracking 1 Sending Presidential Orders 1 Stop Investigation 1 SKILLS (30/30 points) Driving (Cars) 2 First Aid 1 Guns (Handgun) 5 Notice 4 Surveillance 4 Bureaucracy 2 Questioning 3 Tracking 3 Computers 1 Martial Arts 3 -Punch 3 -Break Free 3 -Grab 3 -Judo Throw 4 -Draw Pistol 6 -Shoot 6 -Draw/Shoot -Trip 4 Electronic Surveillance 3 Brawling 1 Intimidation 1 Epicurius fucked around with this message at 13:04 on Dec 19, 2014 |

Jack Harrison "If I could ask, generally, what are our rules of engagement? How....active, are we allowed to be against threats and suspects?"

Jack Harrison "I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that we're eager to hear the briefing, and find out exactly what our mission is, sir. I'm certain that some of us may have questions once the briefing is over."

Jack Harrison "Should we work on finding the identity of the victim?", Jack asks Nash. "Sure, this may just be some random killing by some Infused or Forsaken, but my money is that, even if there is some paranormal involvement, the victim knew the killer."

Harrison Harrison stares at the window where he saw the curtain flutter, counting windows to try to pinpoint the location of the would be observer. "Careful," he warns the team, "We're being watched." Still, there's nothing for them to do but their jobs. If the scene is under surveillance, then they're going to be spotted regardless. Any competent group would have more than one watcher. Incompetent groups, they could deal with. Still, he makes a mental note to check out the apartment that window belongs to. "Ok," he says to the rest. "Just keep your mouths shut and follow my lead." With that, he puts his sunglasses on, gets out of the car, and starts walking over to the policemen. "Federal agent", he says, flashing his badge and hoping that the local cops doesn't look too closely. "We're here to secure the scene. Who's in charge of this crime scene? Do you realize that there's a dog scrounging around in here?", he asks, pointing. "How the hell is that good preservation? Are y'all just out of the academy? Have you never done this before?", he adds, not trying to hide the annoyance in his voice. Would Government Access be appropriate here?

Jack Harrison "Stay here!", Harrison orders the fake cops, then, drawing his 9 mm, follows Gates, backing him up, his eyes scanning for threats.

Harrison Harrison's gun is out, there's an active threat, and his shot is clear. "Drop the weapon!", he shouts, as he fires off a round at the man in the Hawaiian shirt. If this were the movies, he'd aim for an arm or leg or something, but in a firefight, shooting to cripple is a good way to get yourself killed. Shooting the guy. My modifier is +5 (+2 Dex and +4 gun, -1 for medium range)

Harrison Harrison approaches the man he shot. Making sure both his gun and the other man's are safely out of the other's reach, he kneels down near him, and, after securing him and his weapon, he says, "I know who you are. You're the dude who shot at federal agents. You're also somebody who's going to die if I don't do anything." Standing up, he walks over to the hall window, and yells down to Martin, "Bring up the doctor's bag. I've got wounded up here!" Epicurius fucked around with this message at 03:32 on Sep 4, 2014 |

Harrison "Dash, get yourself and him out of the way", Harrison says, gesturing at the wounded man. Then crouching, he walks towards the door to apartment 2D. Kneeling in the doorway, he aims at the attacker's knee, and pulls the trigger.

Harrison "Crap", Harrison says, as he comes over to where Dash is trying to tend to the person bleeding out on the floor. Kneeling down next to them, he starts rummaging through the medical bag for supplies. "I'm going to need you to keep pressure on that wound until I can apply the bandages, please", he tells Dash. Then, he gets to work. He has a life to save. Performing First Aid. Modifier +6 (+3 Int, +1 First Aid, +2 Doctor's bag)

Harrison "Sure, hold on", Harrison says to Dash. Then, pulling out his cell phone, takes pictures of the face and the tattoos on the man they killed, hoping that they might give them some identification as to who he was and what he was doing there. Then he helps carry the wounded man down to the car. When they're down there, he takes Gates's assault rifle at the other man's request, and gets in the car.

Harrison Agent Harrison stays in the car, and, seeing their witness begin to panic, tries to reassure her. "Ma'am, don't worry. We won't let anything happen to you. You have my word on that. We're from the government. We're going to keep you safe." Epicurius fucked around with this message at 04:08 on Sep 15, 2014 |

Harrison Harrison looks out the window. "It's still coming!" He considers shooting at the thing, but at the speeds they're going there's too much risk of missing and hitting an innocent. Besides, they pumped a bunch of bullets in the thing already to no effect. He'd call the rest of the team, but the phones aren't working. So, there's not much he can do but pray.

Harrison Harrison slumps in his seat. "I think it's gone." He looks out the window, scanning for threats. "We need to get back with the rest of the team. And I don't like the idea of that thing running loose in the city." Yet another headache. And Gates was gone. He can't say he misses him, exactly. After all, they hadn't been a team long enough for him to know the man. But it was another reminder of the dangers of the job.

Harrison After the debrief, Harrison stands in the shower for a long time, his eyes closed, his head against the wall, letting the water run over him. He never really knew Sergeant Gates. Not at all. Not even a little bit. Later, Harrison goes back out and has some dinner and tries to relax. It doesn't come easy, so he heads out to the shooting range. Shooting has always let him blow off steam...maybe it will this time. And, he's still got Gates' gun...maybe one of these days, he should learn how to use it. Increasing Guns (Handguns) to 5. As far as downtime, I do have those photos I took of the tattoos on the werewolf. Unfortunately, I don't think I have any particular research abilities, so instead, I'll turn that over to anyone who can research them and use my downtime to try to learn how to use an assault rifle

I guess the big question would be, is the werewolf/infused attack part of something bigger? How are the Saurians involved? Or was the MiB at the morgue for some unrelated, and likely terrible, reason? Who was blocking our phones and why? Plus, the Werewolf is still out there. What's he going to do next?

Harrison Harrison takes advantage of the downtime to work on his reflexes. If his confrontation with the werewolf taught him anything, it's that there were things out there that were bigger and stronger and more deadly than he could even imagine, and that to be slow and clumsy was to be dead. So, he spent much of the time in reaction drills, and in trying to increase his flexibility. He's not sure if it worked, but he feels more agile, at least. In addition, he took advantage of the base's library to try to improve on his interview technique, incessantly studying interrogations, trying to figure out what worked and what didn't. Raise Dexterity to 3, Intimidation to 1, Questioning to 3

Harrison "It's quite possibly a pseudonym", Harrison agrees. "But at least it's a lead. And who knows, it might not be a pseudonym. Sometimes people have remarkably serendipitous names. And maybe we'll be lucky. I'm not adverse to catching a break for once. It doesn't hurt to check it out, at least." What he's not saying is that he's worried about Dr. Stetson. Harrison knew from experience that no one is as good at hiding an alcohol problem as they think they are.
