Brief character thoughts:

Twitter: Really handy cylon drawback and that OPG could have potentially been terrifying and brigged two people. Solid static too.

Dipper Pines: Generally useful static and an OPG thats just a CritSit that you can XO off of his handy.

Doctor Facilier: Good static, boring drawback, OPG that never came into play

Fat Lee: A static that was never useful because he never had a movement step because of his drawback. In retrospect I'd change the card check to before he draws cards

Sam Axe: I was worried he was going to spend his days in the brig XOing people to come party with him. Probably.

Santa Claus: Just all around pretty boring character. Static that would rarely, if ever, be useful. Same but reverse for the drawback. Potential for the OPG to be neat, but just kinda there for the most part.

Rincewind: Static should have probably been a general ability and not specifically a movement one. Kinda forgot about the drawback completely

Yeah, that could probably work.

I think I'd rather change the text to be he can't change locations while is has lots of cards. It lends to the flavor of preferring to eat donuts over walking, it also makes XOing him a bit less good.

I will say that I agree overall most of the characters were functionally blank, pretty much all of them need significant retooling.

Yaaaaaay. I was a cylon from the start of the game. I think I played my cover way too deep early on, and then got reckless when I realized the humans were more than halfway on distance. I desperately wanted to get a double-brig as a soft reveal. I'm more than satisfied with the damage I was able to do, though.

That malarkey with the assume command mutiny card was because fits looked at my mutiny hand, I assume. I had assume command, and was going to cackle madly when I took the admiralty back after losing it. By the way, what was the super secret taboo post that was edited out?

Many thanks to Istvun as my fellow robot, and Hungry Hungry Adama for providing a nice distraction.

Yeah, this was my fault for trying to come up with something that felt like it kept the spirit of the character from the movie (can't use his voodoo for anything for himself, has to rely on other pawns to enact his schemes), but it occurred to me partway into the game that it really only bites him if he's infiltrating, since if he's over on the Cylon side, he can't use those cards anyway.

:negative:

My start-of-game motives were both the "Cylons win: pop/morale must be at least X" cards. I debated staying on the Cylon locations and doing some damage from there, but ultimately Population is the only resource you can reliably damage from there by activating Cylon ships. Then Sleeper gave my a very easy motive, since those three card types were in my draw anyway, and the notorious A Justified Response which in Defcon is almost literally a dice roll.

My character's OPG was interesting enough that I wanted to use it, but I couldn't justify losing my entire turn for a largely unknown benefit.

Great game guys, and fits thanks for hosting.

Eh. Half the players in the game were torpedoing us into oblivion and I don't even know how John Dough was planning on getting any of those objectives (or any objectives really) with the way he was acting.

Also, this game only reiterates how much I hate the cards and OPGs that alter the results of things that have already happened (mainly Change of Plans and Helo's OPG) because the variance level is so high. Change of Plans is like a Political Prowess you can play after everybody blew their cards. It's no more clever to use one as a Get Out of Jail Free than it is to use Evasive Maneuvers, although the results are often more devastating.

This game took a month longer than it should have.

Somebody tell me why we didn't jump on that last turn?

Change of Plans can also be used on actual Crises and is the only card that is used retroactively. Both PP and Helo's OPG have to be used proactively.

That would have been a rather massive exploit I didn't see until after the game had started, so I didn't think it was exactly reasonable for me to do it.

Oh, and I became a cylon during sleeper. My hand when I didn't discard to the food shortage was POL-3(Inv Comm), LEA-2(XO), LEA-3,4(At Any Cost), TAC-0(Quick Thinking) and TAC-5(A Second Chance).
