eventually people everywhere are going to get sick of CGI characters, right? pretty soon we're going to have some kind of renaissance of real-life film making, even if it's guys in big suits.

terminator 2 still kills nearly every action film since because it's pretty much entirely big-budget stunts happening in real life. inception was kind of similar, everyone goes crazy over the scenes that were filmed 100% real live action, because they were. authenticity sells.

the first time I was truly wowed by CGI was the first lord of the rings movie, that's when all of us realized that with current technology, anything is possible. but by the time the second LOTR came out, it was old hat.
