-The nice waiter made it very clear to you that there are those that eat and he who serves. Any dreams you had of learning how to shackle people to chairs and feed them food die a quick death. You will have to find a mentor elsewhere, perhaps at one of the nearby tables...

-You quickly realize that the "French Fries" are not just a new set of smaller breadsticks. They were once potatoes! The last time you actually enjoyed a potato...

-You can't believe your eyes! A bunch of goblins are right there at the table! You were always told you were too young to face one of these foxes with fingers. There has to be someone in this tower that will give you the standard, and much sought after, bounty for goblins. Maybe the waiter put this undulating pile of meat before you as a way to practice fighting a mob of goblins... 7+3=10 (+5=15 if this counts as Not Getting Over Destroyed Home Towns)

The gruesome death of your tablemate stuns you. As you move to the next floor you take a closer look at and the restaurant itself fades as you enter a new floor. As soon as you look upon the inhabitants of this new floor you have a shocking revelation! You yourself are an example of the Quadrilateros that the large triangle shaped creature claims to have annihilated. You have little time to reflect on how you must have been taken from your homeland and raised in secret on a farm. The remaining Geomatron tribes cry out for leadership. You quickly volunteer to lead the Indigarchs and swear that the exterminations of the past will never be repeated.
(Ironic Healing Last: 3)

Culture: Great?

This feels like the first day you are really going to live up to the legacy of the Quadrilateros. While you are still of humble upbringing your mind boils over with ideas of where to start your work with the Indigarchs. You have heard enough about this sort of thing to know that a big speech is what kicks off a new royal initiative. You review your speech in your head and hope that everything goes smoothly...

-It is time for the gods to do more than just teach. It is time for the gods to find mentors among the Geomatrons! Let the wise of every tribe travel to the Indigarchs and teach. All of these teachings will be combined and taught to new generations by the Indigarchs. The tribes will grow closer together... 13+3+5

-Today the Quadrilateros live again. Not just in a single person, but as a new cultural initiative. We will go forth and gather all the remaining tales of the Quadrilateros and save them. We shall go forth and gather all the wreckage of the Quadrilateros. Finally we shall combine these in a new exhibition...

You take the transition to the carnival area smoothly. A challenge is presented, and rejected by that "Hero." Probably only doing it because that drat book told him to. When is he going to realize that there is more to being a hero than following some silly book of prophecy. You decide to help the hero/ take the challenge...

- Your hometown was actually scheduled for a carnival when it was destroyed. Time to finally play one of those games you heard so much about...

- You quietly ask that clown where royalty should stand for this challenge. Then you take the shot...

You stare at the amazing variety of food and animals like the humble farmer you once were. The cooking challenge seems to call for something more than the dishes you helped prepare on the farm. Just the thought of making roasted potato, potato soup, potato on a stick, mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes, etc makes you feel queasy. Still you feel compelled to at least try to get ready to prepare potatoes in the fashion that you enjoyed back at that restaurant as an appetizer...

(Farming for potatoes, but really hoping for some sort of french fry grass) 93+2(+5?)

Next should be something for the main dish. You think back to your all too brief time among the Indigarchs. You learned all you could of the lost Quadrilateros. The most relevant part today was the peppermint treats that the gods left the Quadrilateros. You cannot think of any main dishes to make with peppermint but you decide to go find some uh, whatever it is peppermint candy is made out of, for making desert. Probably some kind of herb but maybe the candy does grow on trees here...

(Is the LAST OF THE QUADRILATEROS)51+2(+2?)

Finally there is the question of what to gather for the main course. You feel confident in showing up the showboating hero with your simple potatoes. Trying to find enough terror bees to make into a main course would probably take too long. Finally you decide to grab something that will radically change over the course of the meal. Something that will start burning easily but stop in time for that creature to eat it...

(It is totally symbolic but I have no idea what it is, some sort of flammable pig?, an oily plant?) 36+2

(Also Ulrist the price for the Certitude starts at your bags of quadrilateros blood, but if you make something that benefits at least two people I will be happy with just a part of the artifact)(Also if I screwed up imgur and these images are leeched please tell me)(Trying to think about what those ingredients will become)(Trade made! You quickly try to grab: <List Omitted> French Fry Grass, Peppermint Candy, Carnivorous truffles <List Omitted>

You then start to prepare your: Appetizer/Entree/Desert

You know enough about cooking to keep yourself alive, but probably not enough to impress this hippo like creature. What you do know about is going hungry. You also know that food eaten after hardship tastes great...

- First you take the french fry grass and fry it some more. You try to pick only the ones that could resemble tiny spears. For your plan you need really crispy fries, which are the best kind anyway... 4, 19 +5 for farming?

-Next you put the peppermint candies into a little fort made out of the fries that were not suitable for step one. You don't think you have the materials to make a little chest or tower so this will have to do... 16,4 +5 for Petty Rivalry

-Finally you come to the truffles. You put the french fry spears on top of the truffles and try to think about defending a stockpile. You have high hopes for the little fellows as you prick your arm to feed them... 13, :siren:20:siren: +5 The Blood Knows +for chorus of the Valkyries?

With all the flair a "student" of the waiter from the Chateau Maladie can muster you invite the creature to eat your painstakingly prepared appetizer.

You also think being devoured sounds really final. You propose that whoever is up for judging leave their stuff with a friend, just in case.

(Note to self, fix top image, think of fluff for simple/complex version of plan so much for offering to trade limbs for the single loser's life)(Also thank you very much Ulrist, should we wait until next turn to roll for items due to the 2 timeline thing?)

You spend a moment reflecting on how you came to dislike Percival. You did not speak with him for long in that swamp, but you were still appalled at the way he said that the right prophecy could justify any crime. His attempts to name you "Kid Justice" and make you his sidekick made you furious. You could have done any number of things after the destruction of your hometown, but you chose to go to the tower and be a hero. And here was this hero who said that he could have done nothing else with his life? You resolved to prove who was the better hero when you saw Percival again. You would never be able to top sacrificing yourself for the rest of the party so you resolve to move on with your life/save Percival

-You start badmouthing Percival from your seat. You talk about how now that that wimp is gone you are the hero of the group and so on. Maybe this will give him the motivation he needs to escape that pot...

-You prepare to challenge the beast to a new contest. You wager your services as an appetizer preparer and after dinner snack against the lives in the pot. All the beast must do is eat this simple spear as it floats in the air. Surely you are too full for this simple task... 6 +5 = 11

-You are no stranger to being told to stay in your seat. You also remember being told not to touch things. Maybe this beast will have a sense of humor if it catches you walking around on the chair and hitting the pot with your spear. Your (Adopted) parents never did...

(For Future Reference:(Gugnir, Lever of Odin is a powerful Artifact - more than a mere weapon. It grants +1 Accuracy, but cannot critically miss. Instead, on a roll of 1 it flares with crimson light, blade slipping between the very cogs of the cosmos itself. With a practiced wrench, the wielder can instead set their attack roll to the value of their choosing, OR shift ANY roll of any Topseeker in their wave up or down by 5. When not being held, Gugnir floats in place as though on solid ground. It cannot be destroyed or modified. And yes, when held, the wielder can hear ‘Choirs of Valkyries’ singing for them when they do something particularly dramatic))

You are extremely pleased with your "victory" over the beast. And this spear made it all possible! You want to take a few moments to get a better feel for the spear, but it looks like you are about to be in a fight. You would not consider yourself greedy, but the head creature said you had to choose between greed or cowardice. You are no coward, but you still use the staff of the Quadrilateros to summon 11 Quadrilateros to stall the monsters while you get ready. (The 1d3 roll was 3 if it is still relevant.)

You start slowly, by placing the spear in the air and lifting yourself onto it with your elbows. Then you try to practice setting the spear immovably against a charge. Then the old "A man walks into a bar...". To make a long story shorter you finish up by using the spear as the jumping off point for a wall jump sort of maneuver. You are so pleased with your performance you imagine clapping. Wait a second, your summoned Quadrilateros are the source of the clapping! They seem to be watching you and waiting for you to lead them instead of stalling those monsters...

(Should have reread the staff's power, I will need to add the eleven to my next skill or ability roll)

The battle has begun and the spear is already proving its superiority. You could just use changes of momentum to run around and loot the treasures on the ground. But you know that you cannot do that, because you are already...

- The familiar blood oozing from them, the stony skin, and finally the mark of the dark Uncle. It all adds up, these creatures used to be Geomatons! It is not surprising that geomatons could become this sort of creature, but you somehow feel a little disappointed in them. Perhaps you could ask them, as the Last of the Quadrilateros, to be more...

- Tales of slaying great beasts are great, but there has to be someone else to tell them for you. You use Gugnir to move over toward those most injured by this first wave of beasts. Then you, for lack of a better word, start dancing with the beasts. As one sees you and attacks you maneuver through the legs of another, and try to swing a third toward the pile. Hopefully the injured will be ignored in the shuffle...

- Your fellow travelers will be fine, and it is not like you ever formally agreed to team up with them. You slide through the rank and file beasts towards their leader. What more could a growing Quadrilateros and his soon-to--be legendary spear ask for than a giant monster to slay? The best part is you should be able to get onto the creature easily with your new spear tricks. With something this big it probably depends on the little beasts to scratch its back. Then all you need to do is put the beast out of its misery... :siren:20:siren:+3 = 23

You arrive at the next floor and see an amazing sight. Mirror after mirror, and they all show you. Or at least what you could have been, or what you might yet be. Any way you look at it this is an important place for you. Do you...

- Focus your gaze on the reflection where you convinced the One-Who-Bakes to enhance you instead of the Indigarchs, and became the First of the Quadrilados? Can you truly call yourself a leader when you let the best chance for your race pass you by... 16 +3 = 19

- Fixate upon the Pentagoral with what you know is your blood still on their lips? What drive would it take for a Geomaton to kill a god? And what would that Geomaton go after next, especially if it wielded Gugnir...

- Find a reflection that also received a box from the treasure floor? If they can see you as well maybe you can get them to show you what is inside. You always were trying to find out what was inside presents...

(For future reference:
1)[Unsettling/Unwanted/Broken] The Bad Thing - A wooden box sealed with orange tape. I don't think you should open it.
2)[Loud/Red/Vigorous] Eight Cylinder Heart - A terrifyingly organic looking engine with eight chrome cylinders and some suspicious looking arteries and veins protruding from both ends. If activated, it sinks into your chest, replacing your heart, the manifold and supercharger projecting out of your spine. When you take damage (or are hit but do not take damage somehow), the engine revs up to red-heat, granting you +1 to Skill rolls and 2 damage vulnerability per hit. Both effects can be dispelled to supercharge the engine, causing it to spout flames and accelerate you to ridiculous speed for a single attack or motion. Afterwards, the engine cools down and the effects are gone.)

You stand and stare like the villager you still are before closing your eyes. You vaguely realize that you were trying to do something... More. You were on a farm almost full of people like yourself. You were young and too busy to care about the details, but this strange place seems to be the place to bring up these old memories. Castles without kings, Empresses without heirs, Prophecies without chosen ones, even villages without idiots. The people growing up on the farm would fill those empty places in the world. You were happy on the farm, with lessons and small adventures. But you were unnecessary at the end of the "season". All were sent out on errands, but only you were not met by a mentor upon your return. You still cannot get over the destruction of your happy home, and continue trying to tell Yna what you once loved. Everyone sees something rather different...

You are the Last of the Quadrilateros. Your people have been destroyed, wiped from their floor of the great Tower. You were spared destruction by being raised in the land of the gods. You had no place in the strange and shapeless land of the gods, and returned to the tower of your birth. The Indigarchs welcomed you upon your return and taught you of your lost people. You prevailed in a great dispute of the gods, even as many fled for their homeland. You concealed your glee, even as you traded with the Trader and feuded with the Uncle's Foe. You were entrusted with the great spear Gugnir by a smith god who had tired of the Tower. With the Lever of Odin you vanquished great foes and were rewarded with treasure. The Uncle was a cruel god, and you did not mourn him when he fell to his foe. Now the latest floor of the tower has shown the destruction of the land of the gods. You try to console the Trader by offering your life and treasures, asking in return only that you continue to Bear Gugnir in his name. With that done you prepare to stand in the vanguard of your group of topseekers...

This most recent turn of events is a serious betrayal. A sacrifice is made, but you receive nothing of the resulting creation! You would stand and fight with the gods you accompany but they are missing! Fortunately you have learned a secret art of the Quadrilateros that should put an end to this vile traitor. The connection that the traitor has bound you with will be her undoing. You start to chant, calling out to all the devils and demons still remaining in the tower. You name the sacrifice, yourself who is the forge mistress. You are pinned to the wall by your own spear. Your blood flows around you. You offered everything to devils and demons for the destruction of the forged traitor. You were not enough. You survey the battlefield with your one open eye. You take in the valor of the other gods. You see the wounds that the traitor fights through. You will see the last moments of the traitor. When that happens you will come down from your gibbet. And then you will join the other gods. Together you will be more than enough to face what comes next...

(Mildly tempted to try and change the forge mistress through the link, but we seem to have this in the bag)

The Last of the Quadrilateros

The heart beats faster as the minions approach the gibbet. What you remember of your life passes before you. You feel somewhat more whole now. (11 will add it up tomorrow) You vocally accept what the minions propose, on the condition that they bring the ritual to where you are pinned and wait for the death of the forg'd traitor to pass before your eye.

(Too late for me to change my talent use, so I will just rely on the kindness of cardplayers. Summon me when my talent would be of use, or when you face the lord himself. Unless this is less of a sacrifice and more of a transmigration...)

You toss The Unwanted Box(Empty) to Morton. Perhaps it will aid him in his struggle. You can do little but wait and recover... 15

Mystery: humble, Kid Justice, apprentice, tentatively, God of Spears, chicken, spear

Once you traveled as Kid Justice, humble apprentice to the great Mr. Wright. Now you are still humble, but a recent near death experience and artifact affinity have turned you into a Quadrilateros God. You go after that wily Vahl with your trusty spear while saying, "Gee willikers boss the lord is on floor 9 if I read that message right!" Vahl will have nowhere to run when you use your spear to come at him... from above! 2+2= 4
(Yes I know that is the wrong interpretation)
