She'd walked these halls for years as a teacher, had come to know every nook and cranny - you had to, to keep up with some of the kids. But in the dark, in the cold, everything felt different, unfamiliar. Maria's breath hung in the air as she moved quickly towards the canteen, hoping that maybe some of the tins in the storeroom had not yet been looted. Before, she wouldn't have wished the canteen food on anyone, but these days food was food and anything would do.

A flicker of movement catches her eye and she turns, gasping aloud as the grotesque form of the school's former cook shambles towards her. She turns to flee, overcome with revulsion and horror, and slips on something unnameable beneath the counter. The last thing she hears is a ghastly moan that sounds almost a little bit like "luuuuunnch"....

Maria moves to the school. Unfortunately she is bitten and killed.
Morale reduces by 1

That's pretty bad luck on your first turn - you can get more survivors by searching in the various item decks, and you can also request cards from others on your turn (though probably no-one else will have any survivor cards at this point).

You still have all your action die to use.

Just remembered to check the crossroads card for this turn, which happens before Fat Samurai's actions. It doesn't affect anything, but flavour text:

quote:

Crossroads Card: Christmas

"I was talking to a couple other people, and well, we think tomorrow might be Christmas. Maybe it's a stupid thing to hold onto, but I think people could use a distraction. What if we made dinner for everyone? A real dinner, I mean".

Every player with 1 or more survivors at the colony (e.g. everyone except Mongol) must vote.

Option 1

Spend 5 food. Gain 1 morale. If Forest Plum is in play and isn't exiled, the player that controls Forest Plum may draw up to 4 cards from the Grocery Store deck. He must reveal them and give each of them to another player of his choice.

Option 2

Nothing happens

You don't have any food to spend, so it's not Christmas. Fat Samura's turn continues

I didn't realize how craptastic my rolls were. There is little for me to do but build barricades al over the place, but we kinda need food as well...

Send Evans to the grocery store
Use Junk (spoilers, I have Junk) to reroll an one.
Pray I don't get eaten/roll another one.
Might as well use Ross' skill to build a barricade on the first space of the colony.

Send Bad Santa to the Library, kill a zombie using the 2

I'm paranoid, and didn't want to let an ability go to waste, plus leaving anyone in the colony who doesn't actively contribute seems a risky move. In fact, I'm tempted to kill Santa to raise morale if the dice rolls are bad next turn.

What happens if a deck runs out in a location? And how many cards are in each location?

I think I get what you're wanting to do, but for future actions (particularly once you get other cards in hand) please bold your actions and be specific about which cards you're wanting to use. Makes things a lot easier for me to follow when updating the spreadsheets, and it allows other players to know where your cards came from, which is sometimes quite significant :)

Also, fuel is only used when moving from one location to another, so you don't need to add it to the colony. I'm assuming this is what you're wanting to do, but correct me if I'm wrong:

Daniel kills two zombies at entrance 1. Daniel receives frostbite from exposure!
Turtlicious plays 2 cards:
