^ good one. It slipped me the first read around. Espn .5ppr, standard roster Pick one: Trent Richardson @ DEN Jeremy Hill @ BAL I've seen what Hill can do but he is going up against a stout run D playing at home. He is second fiddle for now until we can get a definitive look at his usage. I am high on him for the season, but we just don't know how extensive his usage will be. I feel that with the loss of Danny Trevathan, the middle of the DEN defense will be softer, which is TRich's bread and butter. I am prepared to be disappointed by him over the long run, but while he is fresh and on a leash I think his greatest chances for production will be early.

.5 PPR pick 1 Reggie Wayne @Den Wes Welker vs Ind Leaning Wayne, but it's hard to bench Welker if he plays .5 PPR pick 1 Jeremy Maclin vs Jac Golden Tate vs NYG Bonus: Kenny Britt vs Min Leaning Maclin .5 PPR pick 1 WR and 1 FLEX Roddy White vs NO Keenan Allen @ Ari Michael Floyd vs SD Wes Welker vs Ind I'm gonna have a hell of a time choosing which WRs to start in this league every week. Leaning top two, but it could easily be any of them.

Gore. The Dallas defense is a hot mess and Gore is probably the most reliable 49er on offense after a very shaky preseason for Kaepernick.

12 team Yahoo standard scoring: I can't decide out of my mediocre options who to start in my W/R/T spot: Jeremy Hill @ Baltimore Danny Woodhead @ Arizona Darren Sproles vs Jacksonville(I have McCoy if that makes any difference) DeAndre Hopkins vs Washington Steve Smith vs Cincinnati I am leaning towards Hill or Sproles.

In your position, I would start Hill. Sproles and Woodhead would be more intriguing with any sort of PPR. At the end of the day, I think Hill gives you the best chance of getting a TD.

RB1: Le'Veon Bell vs Cle RB2: Ryan Mathews @Ari WR1: Calvin Johnson vs NYG WR2: Torrey Smith vs Cin TE: Jordan Cameron @Pit FLEX: Reggie Bush vs NYG Bench: Toby Gerhart RB @Phi Julian Edelman WR @Mia Mike Wallace WR vs NE Dennis Pitta TE vs Cin Riley Cooper WR vs Jac Mike Evans WR vs Car Obviously Bell and Megatron aren't going anywhere, even I know that much. I'm also throwing Cameron on the "stud" pile, but are there any swaps I should be making here? Also have Cutler vs Roethlisberger, but I have Cutler as the clear choice there. No PPR.

Um he did pretty fine backfilling for AP. What remains to be seen is how he does as a bellcow, sure, but talent and volume can both equal fantasy production in various ratios. Most people wouldn't tell him to start him over Bush anyhow.

ESPN standard scoring. Current and only QB is Romo. The best QBs available are Flacco, Fitzpatrick, Geno, and Cassel. I was looking for a backup QB (Gordon drop pending), and it looks like Smith would be my best option. Then I got looking at matchups... Would it be dumb to start Geno Smith (VS Oakland) week 1 instead of Romo (VS SF). Is Cassel a better pickup than Smith in general?
|
# ? Aug 31, 2014 13:32 |

Stick with Romo. It's hard to say Cassel will be better because I think he'll be out of a job soon. But I'd take him over the rest of them I guess (I wouldn't take any)

Oof. Here is my competition for the flex spot: Toby Gerhart v. Phi Bishop Sankey v. KC Reuben Randle v. Det Brandin Cooks v. Atl Kelvin Benjamin v. TB Devonta Freeman v. NO (Yeah, I went a little overboard on the hype picks for my bench.) I'm thinking Randle or Gerhart. 0.5 PPR.
|
# ? Aug 31, 2014 18:08 |
|
Definitely not Randle. The Giants had a horrid preseason and a big part of that is Manning & Randle being out of sync. Gerhart will give you a guaranteed 6-8 points based on volume. If you want to roll the dice, I'd try Benjamin.

If this is a bad topic for this thread I can take it to the main one. Because in drafting another strong QB like Luck early, you probably made yourself weaker at another position. I never draft a backup QB because ideally you'll only use that backup one week. Trade one of them to a QB needy team. Also having both QBs causes you to agonize over who to start every week.
