whenever im at the oriental store theres just a bunch of old asian guys playing some cryptic card game and drinking something out of paper cups. sometimes a small asian child will roll past me on a big wheel. I get my soy sauce and fish sauce and ponder the durian and ask myself how a hair salon with no customers ever is sustainable in an oriental grocery. I wait 10 minutes for the check out lady to finish whatever shes playing on her knockoff ds and feel like im being yelled at.

I'd suggest picking up... -Those spicy, seasoned cucumber slices. -Plum wine. -Black raspberry wine. -Red bean buns. -Shin ramyun black. -Container of Gochujang. -I'm seconding Fairly passive suggesting pickled ginger. Love the Asian markets near us. Also; Koreatown owns.

trip report: i don't know what this means, but that's my finger so inside i took a bunch of weird photos of weird things we found at the asian supermarket  like this dude called me a "white ghost" which is a pretty cool handle, so he gets a nod    lol     durian, the magical fruit  apparently this is the bible of ruminants   just a whole isle of noodles      ugh these things creep me out
