Is pretty important, I guess. Something about Comcast literally claiming ownership of the Internet. What do you think?

i just dont care anymore...the whole "this is the last day to save the internet" rhetoric has been endlessly run into the ground for years and years now. i think i signed an e-petition for net neutrality back in undergrade while Bush was still in office. if Comcast is set to gain anything at all from whatever happens then the poo poo has already been decided and there is nothing that can be done about it (even more obvious if you have paid attention to what they have pulled off in the last year or so without any sort of opposition whatsoever)

the thing about net neutrality is that if ISPs were just going to be throttling netflix and poo poo, it wouldn't be a problem imo, since the benefit to society:bandwidth used ratio of streaming movies is probably the lowest of anything on the internet, but that's the only thing that will motivate enough people to seriously mobilize in support of it. like, only nerds would give a poo poo if ISPs blatantly played favorites with throttling traffic to various sites and as long as netflix is left alone, the masses will be content.
