This could be bad. Wenig is going to notice Mercy's hands and freak the gently caress out. There could be multiple reasons why Wenig's assistance is needed. It's possible that DSV-2 needs to be put in the water using a crane, or that Mercy doesn't know how to operate DSV-2 and will need Wenig to come along as pilot. Either way, Wenig's the problem with this plan. What we need to do is steal a lifeboat and have Mercy row us out to the fissure, then swim down with us herself. Not sure if Mercy can launch a lifeboat herself (they might also be extremely heavy/bulky) but since they appear to be laying loose on the quarterdeck, the lifeboats will go adrift if we sink the ship. Hmm.

Interesting, is there any difference in the drifter's corpse between you severing him or Mercy doing it? Seems kind of odd that meat in the freezer killed by humans would still be black, but the drifter is just gone even if another human brains him.

She addresses Assister, "Wenig, let's do the pre-launch check of the internal controls." Assister broadens in agreeable blues and greens as they climb together into the submersible. >
