I like watching mst3K episodes it takes me away to a happy place. let's chat Do you prefer joel or mike?? I kind of feel like mike is an impostor but he's a good one i guess. they both do their own riffing now its kind of weird though. I like the puppets ALso old joel shocked me i dont want him to age. I prefer young high looking joel. remember once a kid sent in a letter asking why he looked so sleepy all the time lol.  He did look so sleepy sill joel; now he's just old like we shall all be

http://www.club-mst3k.com/ pretty much every episode linked tere recommendation is guancho and you others should check out some with Joel in all the seasons up til like 6 or whatever. I think Mike gets more attention cause he did a lot more episodes but it was joel's creation so i think he genuinely loved making the show theyre both good, whatever. the Rowsdower one everyone talks about is the episode called Final Sacrifice with Mike a good one with Joel is ummmm Eegah which is about a noble caveman who survived into the 60s and abducts a dad and daughter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCb5rLjtF-4

I like Mike better just 'cause I've seen more with him, but Joel's pretty cool. Rifftrax is still funny as poo poo too. These guys are goons, let's do a 'reddit-style' 'ama' with them and raffle off pieces of the set.

MST3K helped me with loneliness when I was going through a pretty rough patch of working away from home after a nasty break up and depression. Sitting in a hotel room binging on those guys and drinking myself asleep stopped me from hurting myself. I prefer Joel, but I think they are equally funny in different ways. Just a matter of which you are in the mood for.

Mike Nelson's riffing technique was superior IMO. Apparently Joel insisted that the riffers not watch the movie before recording the track to capture spontenaiety, but too often that resulted in extended periods of slience where the audience was basically just watching a boring, lovely movie. Mike's approach of multiple rehearsals produced a much more consistent humor.
