I was heavily involved in the first Eagles GDT and it was way, way better. I was able to actually communicate with other people without having to look through 4 pages of "OMG!!!!!!" to find any responses. Thanks for giving it a shot, Kalli/MV.

Plus with split threads we get more presents at christmas oh hold on I hope at least the RZ thread becomes the madness thread, moreso in the future. I liked the chaos.

The split threads are nice for my lurking rear end. Keep it going! Edit: is there a way to vote on polls on the awful app?

Split threads are better than before, and hopefully some day, down the road, in the future, we can get a single thread for each game. Time marches on.

There are only two other games at the time, but you know what. Yeah, that game probably needs its own containment zone.

Over the offseason we discussed having separate Game of the Week threads, and I can't imagine a better game to kick that off with. (Yes, I'm a Hawks fan. But you can't deny that this game is huge.)

It's a non-conference game in week 3. Neither team will be overly effected regardless of who wins.

I vote for split threads. In the megathreads you'll always get a generic "OMG" or "I can't believe that happened" and you're not sure what game they're talking about. I missed the Red Zone thread, but I want to check it out this week. I usually watch RZC when the Texans aren't on or if they're sucking. So I guess that means I mostly watch RZC.

Who wants conversation in a GDT. There's N/V threads for that, and aftermath threads, and analysis threads.

The Superbowl wasn't that long ago, both teams have changed only slightly, the Seahawks look better, the Broncos look the same, Hawks are angry coming off a loss and the game is in Seattle. I think it has the biggest blow out potential of any game this week.

Voting for the one true thread. GDTs aren't for conversations, they're for laughing out loud as you scroll past 3 pages of people instaposting about Romo's latest pick, and joining in.

I am pro-single thread, but these early weeks, keep it split. Maybe if things slow down later it can drop back to one. Only thing I think is keep putting the actual games in the Topic. I kept going "what game is this channel on again?" and just looking at the one thread that was labeled with the games to know what to post in, but I'm a dumb so that may just be a me issue.

Now we're pretending people read other people's posts in the large GDTs? I would say about half the questions that get posted get answered at all. And if you do ask a question you have to look carefully for anyone answering you, and yes, soon enough you're five pages behind The large single GDT can only be followed if it's the only thing you're doing. If it's not, if you happen to look at the game on TV or talk to another person, you're over a page behind and you're drat well skipping to the last page, don't lie

TubeStank posted:100 posts in a GDT takes all of 1 minute to scan. If that is the case then all of those posts were "lol" or some nonsense like that, which is exactly why so many of us wanted separate threads. Those other threads allow us to skip that bullshit and actually post something about the game besides twitter reactions.
