Would love any feedback I can get regarding who to start this week for a 1.0 PPR league.

Pick 2 RBs
Zac Stacy at Cowboys (currently selected)
Jeremy Hill at Titans (currently selected)
Bobby Rainey at Falcons

Pick 2 WRs
DeSean Jackson at Eagles (currently selected)
Emmanuel Sanders at Seahawks (currently selected)
Golden Tate at Packers
Brian Quick at Cowboys

Pick 1 Flex from the above players, I'm currently using Tate as my flex.

It's killing me to try to figure out if Hill or Rainey is the better play this week for RBs since I lost three other RBs (AP, Moreno, Ingram, RIP :smith:) but I also can't figure out who's better to slot in the WR positions. DeSean Jackson has been mostly terrible and he's still questionable, while Sanders is playing against the Seahawks (I know, I know, DSAS) but then that just leaves me Tate and Quick to slot into WR positions and everyone always says don't sit your studs, but DeSean doesn't look like one at all right now, and he's hurt, but maybe Cousins can do something?

Does this look OK? I'll slot in Charles/Davis depending on who plays.

I managed to snag Knile Davis despite being 6th on the waiver wire, which is nice, but now I'm overwhelmed by my options. Anyone want to lend a hand? This is standard ESPN PPR. Bold is what I'm leaning towards as of now.

Pick 2 RB:
L. McCoy v. Washington
M. Ball v. Seattle
R. Jennings v. Houston
K. Davis @ Miami

Pick 2 WR:
B. Marshall @ New York Jets
P. Garçon @ Philly
M. Wallace v. Kansas City
C. Patterson @ New Orleans
K. Benjamin v. Pittsburgh
S. Watkins v. San Diego

Pick 1 FLEX from above (also have Ertz on my bench)

I'm pretty set on the likes of McCoy and Marshall, but Cousins starting has me concerned about Garçon (only went to him once last game) and Ball playing Seattle. I don't know if Ball is at "stud" status, especially with Davis able to start and plenty of good alternatives to plug into the Flex.

ESPN, standard 0PPR - who is my flex?

Bobby Rainey @ ATL

Ellington is the better player (right?), but is playing through pain and has a worse matchup. Rainey plays against a far softer defense but is in a RBBC, and is playing on short rest.

Suave Fedora posted:

Sorry to re-ask, but I'm stressing this matchup and I'm wondering if opinions have changed since Martin was announced as not playing tonight. Specifically, I need to play three of:

Montee Ball @ Sea (has underperformed, bad matchup, worried about DEN being pass-heavy in a close game)
Knile Davis @ Mia (first start, played well last week, average matchup?, figure KC will run alot)
Bobby Rainey @ ATL (played well last week, good matchup, figure TB will run alot)
Andre Ellington V. SF (playing through pain, bad matchup?, no Dwyer to vulture)

Is Montee Ball a don't-sit-my-stud?

I disagree, Rainey looked great last week, he's starting tonight against the terrible run D of the Falcons, the coaches love him, and Lovie Smith wants to pound the rock. He scored something ridiculous like 150 yards and 3tds against them last year (i wouldnt expect a repeat perfomance that strong, but still) and their o-line is built for running the ball.

Nope, and certainly not IN Seattle. It's a great week to face Denver offensive players.

I'd go Rainey and Davis, which sounds wacky but in reality it isn't.

My RBs:
Ball, K Davis, Charles (Q), Devonta Freeman, Ronnie Hillman, Stepfan Taylor.

I pretty much have to start Ball here, right?

My WRs:
C. Patterson, Kelvin Benjamin (Q), Roddy White (Q), Reuben Randle, Brian Hartline (P), Donnie Avery.

My TE is Julius Thomas and I have no backup TE.

So I need to start two WRs, two RBs, and a Flex, and this is 1PPR and otherwise basically ESPN standard.

Right now I'm starting Patterson, Benjamin (if he plays), and I've flexed White. But those Qs are really bugging me and I've got to make a decision about White by tonight.

Oh also my QB is Matt Ryan, I'm starting him, so that probably doesn't mean anything but some folks think it does.

Don't flex White if your Flex takes RBs as well. If you're going to play him, put him in a regular WR spot.

Flex is TE/RB/WR.

Yeah I know I'd want to keep the flex open to sunday, so I just made that swap. I had him in Flex just in case I need to swap him out for a RB right before the game.

Which of my bench RBs/WRs would you put in, if I have to pull White?

I've got a lovely situation. Start Roddy tonight or AJ Green later? I thought AJ was going to be out for sure, but he returned to practice today. Not sure which way to go. If it looks like AJ isn't going to go, the next option is Justin Hunter. Bleh.

Ugh. I suppose Randle doesn't lose points every time Eli throws a pick, but still ugh.

I drafted him though, so it's my fault. In my defense, he was the highest guy on beersheets for round 8 so I can blame beer for that.

While Eli's good for one bonehead pick a game, a lot of the turnovers are actually Randle/Cruz being morons and tipping the ball into a defenders hands.

You want anyone who, between thursday and saturday could potentially have something happen to them (such as an injury in practice) to be in your FLEX spot. That gives you maximum... uh, FLEXibility to substitute in someone from your bench.

So anyone who plays Thursday should be in a non-flex spot if possible.

Haha holy moley I can't believe I asked that and then immediately made a post deriding people who put Thursday players in flex.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. RBs seem to be the only players who don't dip in terms of points on Thursdays. Plus, as a Vikings fan, I have little faith in that defense to stop Brees and Co and expect we'll be seeing a lot of Cassel's arm (I'm not okay with this :gonk: )

Ugh I have Davis in my flex right now but with this Charles news I'm hesitating...

My best alternative flex player is Roddy White who plays tonight so I'm worried I'll be screwed if I keep him benched and Charles ends up getting most of the carries on Sunday.

Flex options: (std scoring)
Knile Davis @ MIA
Roddy White vs TB

My gut says a gimpy Roddy is just going to be a decoy tonight.

I also see CIN running the poo poo out of the ball after they go up and Hill will probably get a ton of touches as Jackson has promised.

We were discussing it last night in the regular fantasy thread. The CIN tandem is actually beneficial to Gio AND Hill and there's going to be plenty of opportunity for both of them to eat.

ATL did that last year, too. For like 3 games, if I remember correctly.

I also agree that a timeshare in CIN is beneficial for both backs since they run so drat much. I have both Gio and JHill in one league and the only reason that I am not starting both is because I am flexing Gronk.
