Mr.Wizard, you need to CHILL OUT MY FRIEND!

No ranged attack or blocks, i'm gonna take all the damage

Playing Concentration to get a red mana with this red mana, i play Powered up Improvisation by discarding Swiftness, Finishing him off by Raging at his stupid magic.

finally, i play Tranquility to take some of the pain away.

Goldyx's Turn

Tovak takes three wounds to hand, one of which is healed after battle.
Tovak levels and gains a Command Token.
Tovak's choice of artifacts are on his board.

imgur appears to be throwing a bit of a shitfit at present, so Goldyx can work off the last map.

Norowas (Gutter Owl) - 5 hand, 4 deck.
Tovak (HOOLY BOOLY) - 2/5 hand, 9 deck, yet to draw, artifact choice.

Okay, I've had to drop the quality on the main map a little, it was hitting imgur's 'gonna resize this' limits. If it starts to look too crap, yell and I'll shunt it over to lpix instead.

I roll to disbelieve.

Concentrate for a red mana, Fire block the minotaur with a sideways promise.

Break a red crystal to fire attack the illusionists.

Now tell me more about this 'killing lots of people' thing.

Take Blizzard and play Training, tossing Stamina, for Crystal Mastery

then get me my level.

Stelas
Sep 6, 2010

Arythea is still lucky as hell.
By CO, Steady Tempo is put back on the top of the deck, followed by Blizzard. Crystal Mastery is dumped into discard with Stamina thrown away.
Offer is updated.
Arythea levels and has two skills to choose from, along with an Advanced Action.

Norowas' tactics have been CO'd and will be run in a moment. Maybe then imgur will work again.

Norowas (Gutter Owl) - 5 hand, 4 deck.
Tovak (HOOLY BOOLY) - 5 hand, 7 deck.

I hate this and will probably be kicking myself for it, but I'm going to take Frost Bridge and gently caress it Goldyx's ice catapults.

part of me wants to take motivation and I don't know if that skill is good or not

I really wish I could get that ice bolt, but that just leaves me too far in the middle of nowhere

Stelas
Sep 6, 2010

I have never taken Motivation. It feels like a consolation prize.

Norowas uses a Stamina and a Swiftness to get to the village, then powers a Noble Manners to cure a wound, gaining +1 Fame and +1 Rep in the process.

Norowas levels and may choose a skill and an Advanced Action.
Norowas flips Leadership (Each turn, when activating a unit, get +3 Block or +2 Attack or +1 Ranged Attack regardless of that unit's elements) and Leaves in the Wind (Once a round gain a green crystal and a white mana).

Tovak's Turn

Norowas (Gutter Owl) - 1/5 hand, 4 deck, skill + action choice.
Tovak (HOOLY BOOLY) - 5 hand, 7 deck.

No, I fire blocked with the golems. Fire attacked the illusionists because they're physical resistant.

Goldyx's Turn

Resting is a full-round thing; you can't do it and something else, even if that something else doesn't grant you a move or an action. That said the NE is good to go, so you head there instead.

We are completely out of Countryside! There are none even left in the box. From now on, explored tiles must touch two other tiles.

Goldyx burninates the peasants before his turn.

Actually you're allowed to play special effects like Ruby Ring. "A Players Turn", 6b: Before or after you Rest for the turn, you may play any number of Healing and Special effects.

Resting prevents moving or taking actions. Looking at the turn summary it even seems like you're allowed to use a mana dice from the source (e.g. to power a special or healing effect) but I'm not sure if that's true.

It's all good, i'm just hoping i have enough good cards left worth resting/meditating for at this point! Maybe get a few more kills in before this round is over.

Oh i'm also curious why you picked the City levels you did? Unless the 11's are just to make things more interesting

Oh, that's just a general tile listing all the different city levels and what they have on the clix, the cities aren't set to any level in specific yet. In Conquest mode, all cities are level 4.

I actually got to play Lost Legion last night and it does a good job of making everything less predictable, but I don't know if it actually makes most things more difficult (in early to mid-game). The end-game scenarios for Volkare look intense (and too complicated for me to delve into, we just played traditional mp conquest) but the added advantage of two knight-specific cards made the beginning feel much faster.

EDIT: I'll take a red crystal.

Stelas

It does kind of depend on which tiles you run into when, especially if you're using the new map tiles. Some of them are remarkably inhospitable, and a constant stream of elusive assassins can really bite something fierce.

It's definitely easier if you're playing multiplayer, I think, because everyone will naturally go that little bit slower if the map is sufficiently brutal. Against the traditional dummy it's definitely rougher, if only because the increased number of advanced actions means it's a little harder to build a synergistic deck when your action offer moves at a crawl. At least, that's my take - it's still way, way more interesting than the base game alone.
