Alraune

Alraune, flighty as ever, arrives late for the Council, and almost seems surprised to see others in attendance. Can it be that she forgot that it was happening at all? Certainly she often seemed to be seeing or hearing things that weren't actually there, and her laboratory was a haphazard nest of sparkly objects, brightly colored bits of glass, and the occasional possibly hallucinogenic mushroom...to say nothing of the toads.

Her wide eyed gaze regards the others for several moments, before she merrily skips over to a seat and nearly throws herself into it with a happy sigh.

Plans? Hahahahaha hahahhahahaa.

Alraune

Alraune yawns. "Oh, sorry, this just got really boring all of a sudden. It seems pretty obvious that a reliance on the art of certamen would result in the distribution of vis being at the discretion of but a few of our number, and the thought of having to seek a champion - and obviously having to perform some form of recompense for their services in this regard - is no better. There is no way I'd ever support such a proposal, and talking about it is pretty boring, so let's just say no to that and move on."

Alraune conceals another yawn and abstains. All of this stuff bores her.

Alraune

Alraune has decided to fulfill her obligation to the covenant this year by writing a tractatus on Imaginem. It will be the most of best and nonincoherentable of tractatusesis and Alraune will not have any problems staying on topic and not going round about and into digressions or tangents or any of that kind of thing. It's perfectly coherent!

Mariel

Mariel on the other hand is looking for any help or information she can get that will help her break the curse she labors under and get her vengeance on the damned nobleman who placed it on her. So she'll up and join whatever expedition, to get allies at the very least.

Sunday would be best for me this week out of the days listed above.

Alraune

Alraune spends the season engaged in correspondence with other Merinita scholars on the subject of becoming a full fay, tracking down leads and generally asking around. Hopefully her colleagues have patience for the rambling letters, full of digressions, doodles, and other things like stories about the butterfly she saw that she thought was a fay but then when she spent the afternoon stealthily following it she wasn't sure but then she started thinking that maybe it knew that she was watching and was trying to keep her from finding out so she grabbed the book she was reading and snapped it closed over it and as it turned out she got bug guts all over the covenant's copy of Theatre of the Mind. Also, do any of her colleagues know how to get bug guts out of books?

Mariel

Mariel keeps a low profile, but the increased number of travelers makes it easier for her to do what she does to survive. A girl's gotta eat, and if that girl happens to be a wild animal one day of the week she'd better not be a starving, desperate one, after all...

Alraune

Alraune's decision is easy. All that politicking sounds hard. But the other thing? That sounds pretty cool! So it's to Luc that she replies, eagerly, excited to learn more.

Alraune

Alraune is surprisingly quiet and maybe even a bit mopey during the winter. Maybe it's a seasonal thing. Maybe she is struggling with something that happened while she was away. Maybe she's working on a REALLY big prank. Hard to tell, with her. Much of her time is spent locked away, apparently in either study or correspondence - she's sending out letters with a bit more of a point this time, finding out who can tell her anything about what she's got herself into.

Mariel

Mariel used to enjoy winters, but now they're just troublesome for her. There are fewer travelers around to steal from, for one - it's one thing to rob someone who'll be on their merry way in a day or two, something else entirely to annoy the people who you have to rely on for food and shelter in the hard winter months. Then there's the waking up after her transformations, somewhere in the woods with a stolen hen and no clothes...it's COLD, and people get mad about their livestock going missing - the last thing she needs is to get herself hunted or trapped.

She does start to ask around about the curse on the town - maybe there's something she can use to help herself in the details there...

Mariel

Mariel spends the season exploring the area, looking for back roads, hidden places, and interesting things.

Sumayya

Sumayya takes her time settling in and clearing up the lab she has inherited from the departing Alraune, which is something of a mess. She also tries to build some metaphorical bridges among the coven folk, knowing that she won't last long if nobody trusts her. Thus, she's not long to arrive to hear what Rashad has to say...
