I love how the drawback instructs you to first make a choice, and then ignore it anyway That said, ##nugget reporting for duty! I'm voting for 10-distance Earth.

Honored to be on board! I'm going through the character list now and will pick one tomorrow morning at latest. Meanwhile, because I haven't been able to make more than one character for this game, I'd like to repost the three unused ones from the previous game, since there were so many left unused. If fits doesn't want this, then that's completely fine too. I did do some minor tweaks that were needed. Frank Underwood - Political - 3 POL 2 LEA Titles as Roslin. Setup: Quorum Chamber Friends in high places: Every time you are the target of an Executive Order, draw a card from any skill set. Every time you play an Executive Order, draw a Treachery card. Whip votes: discard your entire hand of Skill Cards. Then, instead of drawing a Crisis Card, draw two Crisis Cards. Choose one to resolve, and place the other either on top or on the bottom of the Crisis Deck. You must make all choices on the card, and instead of resolving any Skill Checks on the card, pick either the "Pass", "Partial Pass", or "Fail" effect to resolve immediately. Skeletons in the closet: You Skill Card hand size limit is 8. At the end of your turn, if you have more than 8 Skill Cards in your hand, you are moved to the Brig. Then discard excess Skill Cards as normal. "Mad" Max Rockatowski - Support - 2 ENG 2 LEA 1 TAC Titles as Chief. Setup: Hangar Deck Two men enter: after moving, you may exchange a random card with every player you share a location with. Boobytrapped: Action: once per game, you may damage a random location to destroy a heavy raider, three raiders, two civilians, or damage a base star twice. Fuel scarcity: you must discard a card for every point of Fuel lost (including jumps) The Rt. Hon. James Hacker, PM - Political - 2 POL 2 LEA 1 POL/LEA Titles as Roslin. Setup: Prime Minister's Office Number 10: During your turn, the President title will be called the Prime Minister title. You may also add or subtract one point for all Quorum Card dice rolls made during your turn. The Button: Movement: Once per game, fire a Nuke, even if there are no more Nuke tokens left. Party Games: Every time the Fleet jumps, discard a Quorum Card. If you have no Quorum Cards, randomly discard a Skill Card instead.

I'm fine with adding Pegasus/Mutineer as well. And because I can't resist his royal gaze, I'm taking King Phil!

fits, maybe you could send a PM to some of the other players? They may not be following the thread any more, or if they are, they haven't posted since they were selected.

I'm alright with the Katniss OPG, since it can be avoided by not brigging her there's always the airlock Off to bed now, will post my first turn action when I get up and have a chance to check my hand and other starting stuff.

For our first move, we will try this Worker Placement. ##POL 1 - Consolidate Power on Quorum Chamber (draw 2 play none) ##POL 1 - Consolidate Power on President's Office ##LEA 1 - Executive Order on Captain's Cabin (draw LEA)

Not the right colors unfortunately. However, by royal decree: ##TAC-2 Guts and Initiative so we don't get interference by the Destiny Deck. If someone has a much better card to play, I'll consider it.

Maybe Katniss can launch in a Viper next turn, then XO somebody to move over to the Demetrius to either scout the Mission Deck or use the Captain's Cabin to give everyone a card. Right now we're a bit too short on cards to do a mission, I think.

# ¿ Oct 25, 2014 00:20 |

Also, ##play 1, low. One or two additional low cards should probably do the trick.

##Dump the food, let them eat cake Also stop doublescouting the same deck, and stop wasting high cards on a useless stratplan. It's everyone's first turn, I doubt anyone will have turned Cylon before they even took an action. Especially since most other stuff like drawing cards has happened to everybody at the same time.

And I always understood that cards were going away. It's only really worth the risk if you can place at least two cards of a single number though, like I did last time, otherwise the risk is too great. And 0-strength cards existing was half the reason I picked the character Plus, as said, it can't be used off XOs. Either way, I'm always up for Quorum Farming, but I think someone should go look at the top mission.

fits posted:I just feel its too strong to be able to blow 4-5 cards to to activate a bunch of locations, and then with a strat plan possibly have a 0% of failure. The first turn there, he essentially spent three cards for Hoshi's OPG with a 1/8 chance in failure. Failure would have meant a wasted turn and a loss of my entire hand, though. I'm okay with no stratplans and including 0 in the roll, but any more and the risk of using it becomes too great. As it is now I only used it on turn 1 because I lucked into three strength-1 cards.

With some luck, we'll hit a Cylon attack before we jump. Then right after we can do a mission. Ideally, we do one on Mutineer George W's turn, so he doesn't draw a mutiny card due to jump prep on his crisis (because he won't get a crisis).

# ¿ Oct 28, 2014 16:54 |

So we are! Then we should probably do the mission before we jump and get bogged down with robots.

Captain's Cabin is probably best, the civvies don't seem to be a pressing threat. Also, OhHiMaahk and SadBag should probably preload their draws (if possible, and if they haven't already) to speed things up a bit.

You can also choose Vipers in the Reserves!
|
# ¿ Nov 1, 2014 00:38 |

We have two Vipers in the reserves, as well as an Assault Raptor, which also counts as a Viper for game purposes. We may want to keep the AssRaptor around, so maybe just pick one Viper in space and two from the Reserves?

Jump prep should be at -1, not -3, I think. The last crisis that damaged Vipers gave jump prep.

Brony Hunter posted:Man, stuff like this is less useful in early Double Secret games as you could check someone's Loyalty and they come up clean but then they trigger again later anyway. I don't really agree, I think it's likely that someone has flipped by now, after almost a full round. I could check the Admiral so we know we can trust the mission he left on top, and that he will pick a good destination when we jump. Still, it's 13 points of POL/LEA that we probably need for the mission, and the downside is only 1 Morale. I'm leaning towards thinking we should pass on this one.

# ¿ Nov 1, 2014 21:40 |

Man I am so bad at reading things over the last couple of days. Well then I suggest we just tank it, take the -1 morale and save our cards for the mission.
