I'm so bad at the forums I don't even notice mod meltdowns or when they leave, I didn't realize ABE was gone until somebody posted about it a week ago and I still don't know why.

Don't mod anyone who takes themselves and SA too seriously.

Problem with that idea is if you don't take SA verry seriously you don't pay enough attention to the forums to moderate them. You wouldn't even get an interesting meltdown out of it, just a quiet de-moding for never having done the job.
