Some thoughts as we're playing this: It's pretty hard for dedicated melee characters to influence the first half of this stage. Even without Kaitlyn's wormholes getting in the way, Pendros has very few ways to interact with the iron supplies--mainly Shot or a lucky Polymorphed. Eligor or Alexian would be absolutely miserable here.
