They post roughly once a week, most recently to beg bitcoiners to translate their announcement thing into other languages. Gotta spread the word about that thing that will never, ever exist. Their official blog, on the other hand, hasn't seen a post in a little under a month.

We won't be seeing much from him until Eripsa sits in a dark room filled with empty cans of Bawlz energy drink and untouched meals, lit only in the cold glow of an LCD monitor that he stares unblinkingly upon, hugging his knees to his chest as he rocks slowly back and forth in his desk chair. Every so often he reaches out with one shaking hand towards a keyboard. He doesn't look at it, the motion is more muscle memory than conscious thought anymore, as one claw-like finger stabs down on the F5 key. His screen changes to a stark, blinding light that makes him wince as his Opera browser reloads with agonizingly slow speed. Eventually it displays the same thing it has shown over and over again for almost two months now; "Unique IP Hits: 5,045". Almost imperceptibly one eye twitches and an observer might swear they could hear him murmur "paradigm" over and over again like a holy mantra as the cycle begins anew and he begins to rock back and forth once more.

They should actually never change it because that's the only honest thing about their whole project, and even that's unintentional.

Speaking of which, there hasn't been a new tweet from Synereo or an update to Eripsa's blog in over a month. What's going on in there, guys? Eripsa you can't just leave us hanging, we got social networks that need fixing. Can we get an update?

To be clear, what they determined is that anonymous networks mostly get used to go right back out onto the normal network without people knowing its you. And of the remaining portion, most of that is child porn.

I've been snickering about this since last week but didn't want to Necro the thread for fear of mods. I did however send Eripsa a message over Google+ asking this exact question. He didn't reply. In all seriousness, I honestly think I've done more work on a Gundam tabletop wargame than Eripsa et al will ever do on Synereo. I'm not sure which of those facts are sadder but I'm just throwing it out there.

I can confirm that Eripsa's behaviour is completely normal for a shut-in nerd who has not managed to become a functioning member of society *gets interested thing* *reads bullshit about thing ON THE INTERNET* *devotes like two months of his life to thing* *loses interest in thing* *becomes lazy and inactive for a few weeks/months* *starts again*

emfive posted:There's a typically breathless Medium post about how "the blockchain" is going to usher in a new tomorrow. So part of the "solve" for blockchains having a limit of complexity and growth is to introduce newly-developed blockchains within the blockchain network (say, blockchains that deal in micro-transactions of a single bitcoin)... and yet the history of bitcoin scams and fuckups doesn't make that additional complexity scary as hell? I mean it goes without saying that the base assumption for blockchains is paying the early-adopters & miners new units. If the technology was good enough to replicate the internet But Better, why would that be a core assumption for anyone but the bitcoin faithful?
