 Once upon a time there was a science fiction TV show about life in space. It had a diverse cast of characters, all of them with their own deep backstories and motivations. With so many alien cultures, there was a sense of multiculturalism to the series as they all worked together without abandoning their beliefs or cultures. Even the enemies were complex. Horrible monsters who commit genocide are shown to be charming and sympathetic. The true face of evil is shown with a smile. The show covered a range of complex issues. It explored the political and social nuances of a fighting galactic war, to the personal trauma of turning your back on your own people, to the burdens of being thrust into the position of religious leader. And it all took place on a space station outside a wormhole. Then like 3 seasons in they decided to make a new show and it was about some hicks being lost in space or some poo poo.  Welcome to Star Trek: Voyager Mafia, a game for 11 players. This will be a fairly vanilla game with no weird roles. Flavour and alignment have been randomized. Standard Rules:
Sample Role PMs Town: You are Delta Quadrant aligned. You are one of the many distractions the starship Voyager takes on its trip home. You are apparently alright with taking a leisurely route back to Earth. You figure there are enough super interesting and not at all dull as poo poo stories to keep you occupied for at least 7 seasons, if not more! You're totally fine just hanging out in the Delta Quadrant for as long as it takes. No rush. You win when all threats of cancellation are eliminated and Voyager is able to continue its journey in the Delta Quadrant forever! Scum: You are Alpha Quadrant aligned. You are desperately trying to get the starship Voyager home and end this pointless and meandering journey whatever way you can. You win when you control the vote and the show is cancelled.
