Whether it be war, world hunger, global warming, Palestine/Israel or the continued and inexplicable popularity of 80s fashion for the past 15 years - I'm sure if we put our heads together we can fix at least one of them and accidentally make everything else worse! I guess since it's my idea I'll have a crack at the big one. Global Warming: I confess I haven't done the math on this but it feels like it would work. Pile up all the worlds nukes in one place and then when the sun is directly overhead we blow the lot at once. Hopefully this will propel us far enough away from the sun that global warming is no longer even a possibility. It's simple and we finally have a use for all those nukes sitting around gathering dust. If we really want to outdo ourselves we can pile them up in Israel.

Not enough oil? This one is easy: We cut down every single plant on earth, dump them into the Grand Canyon, then we bury it and wait. Repeat as necessary. It's super convenient too since all the oil will be where it's supposed to be - USA!
