After 12 Monkeys I started thinking the title 16 Candles would have worked better for a horror movie where a girl snaps on her 16th birthday and thinks she has to kill one person for each candle and she kills them by pulling a Nero and turning them into human torches

Which director was the one that made goons cry because he didn't visualize the idealist image of what a female anthromorphic plane should look like?

I was talking about driving down to Anaheim with my friend on the bus and a bum started talking to me about how he used to hop freight trains down to California and how he always dreamed of being a Hollywood screenwriter but he can't spell out words. I told him Quentin Tarantino is illiterate and he seemed pretty happy about that.

Agree with OP, but only because of Career Opportunities (1991), the overlooked, obscure and misunderstood culmination of Hughes' classic era with a young Jennifer Connelly

Not really sure why we're talking about all these other guys, the OP has already firmly established that John Hughes was the greatest filmmaker (1982-1990). So what's your favorite JH movie? Aside from Weird Science of course
