so what do fancy stats say about scuderi? i know we all joked about orpik being among the worst in the league, but i'd take him over scuderi every single time. i feel like scud's turnover rate is nearing 100%

If I remember correctly he was the only Penguin with a worse Fenwick Close than Oprik last year.

yeah so i've only watched the flyers game and the 3rd period of this game, which is a pretty limited sample size even for this time of the season, but i'm not seeing the pens play any sort of system really. they're not just stretch passing, but i can't see any sort of zone entry strategy

"Could Have Been" syndrome. because he had such a cool skill set and combo of size and blahblah, he gets to spend his entire career getting too much money and ice time and attention because everyone keeps hoping for the miracle season where he puts it all together. meanwhile in reality, he is a dude looking like the weakest link on a line with Shawn Matthias and brad richardson somehow

Kassian should be on the second-unit powerplay where his skillset would be very useful; instead Burrows and Higgins are on it despite showing their entire careers they shouldn't be playing on the powerplay.
