tea is a drink for the masses, it was aristocratic back in the day because it was a product that was just making it to the places it was aristocratic in, so they were essentially paying shipping and demand costs. also, everyone was way more poor back then tea now costs maybe 5 cents a cup if you get loose leaf. or less.

are pg tips or yorkshire gold significantly better in the pyramid shaped bags as opposed to the regular flat bags? i'm not doing loose leaf it's too much of a pain in my rear end

i doubt bag shape does anything, the only thing that would be effective is if the bag had a less fine mesh that let more water through, and if you could see that there were larger leaves inside instead of the tea dust that some manufacturers use (its cheap as balls and poo poo)
