Most people are mature enough to recognize that democratic process works. Even if people don't share your views, numbers don't lie.

In fact most Democratic voters are also stupid and gullible, they're just lucky to have had a different social group to conform to.

I'm not saying the Republican party and the Democratic party are the same, mind you, they're not. I'm just saying like the majority of people are stupid and gullible.

McCain wanted to literally invade Libya, and now he wants to literally invade Syria. He's a senile warmonger who sold out all his credibility in 2004 when he turned around and endorsed George W Bush, the man who smeared him publicly in 2000.

First past the post voting is dumb and our electoral college system is bad, but most of the time when people say what you just said they lead right into a tirade about how both parties are "the same" and that's the dumbest of all.

I liked him better during the 2000 nominations, but that manufactured illegitimate black baby scandal put him out of the race(his wife adopted an Indian child). I liked his stance on gays in the military, willing to approve if the enlisted were for it, when someone pointed out they were, he made excuse after excuse needing the approval from more and more groups until finally he get mad at the reporter. Still wouldn't vote him due to his involvement in the savings and loan scandal back in the 90's.

the old republican trick of ignoring everything else people are saying in favor of the one dude attacking him personally then going 'hey man that's too far!'

and thus evading the actual things brought up. like the madness that is the GOP's economic plan (hi trickle down economics doesn't work it's been 30 years the economists have weighed in), their hosed up priorities defense wise, their backwardsness on social equality issues, etc.

Wasn't paying attention back then, was a smidge young. While I had my misgivings against McCain, I just wasn't 100% on Obama. In hindsight I think Obama was the better choice, but at the time I remember Palin being a dealbreaker.

Don't you mean old trick? Democratic party isn't immune from scandal. Far from it. It's all politicians.

Just figure out which policies are important to you and vote accordingly. Even if we disagree, there is absolutely no reason to start hurling insults at the opposing party.

Absolutely agreed with the trickle down policy.

Believe it or not, even Republicans disagree with Republicans! It's just a lesser of two evil situation. Hence why I went for the Obama ticket. IDK what the gently caress they were thinking with the Palin route. Seriously?

If you care about protecting the integrity of the free market (as opposed to socialism), vote Republican.

Look at the welfare program for example. It comes down to mandatory charity and it goes against everything that free market stands for. It's not about being callous. I still donate to homeless charities. It's about making a stand against the government forcing you to pay for other people.

The Republican party at this point is a wholly-owned corporate subsidiary.

The Democratic party is not quite as bad, but prone to the same sort of neoliberal economics as the Republicans, just not quite to the same extreme.

Edit: And if you don't know what neoliberal economics are then you shouldn't vote at all.
