While I had my misgivings against McCain, I just wasn't 100% on Obama. In hindsight I think Obama was the better choice, but at the time I remember Palin being a dealbreaker.

The Republican party at this point is a wholly-owned corporate subsidiary. The Democratic party is not quite as bad, but prone to the same sort of neoliberal economics as the Republicans, just not quite to the same extreme. Edit: And if you don't know what neoliberal economics are then you shouldn't vote at all.
