There was a local election a few years back that had a conservative D running against a liberal R, so they were in a similar place ideologically, but the R seemed to be much smarter and more competent. That's the only Republican I've ever voted for.

Yeah, I voted for Lisa Murkowski because she's just about as liberal as most Democrats, or as much as our other senator who is a Democrat anyway. She's just a Republican because her dad (who appointed her to fill his Senate seat when he got elected governor) is. The state actually rallied together and got her reelected as a write in candidate after the Tea Party primaried her out in the 2010 election. It was awesome. Turns out that was a good thing nationally because after Ted Cruz and the Tea Party shut down the government, she was part of the bipartisan women's caucus that started the talks back up. ...I also may have voted for that 2010 Tea Party crazy in this year's Republican primary in a failed effort to keep the Koch Brothers puppet off the ticket in the general.

Scott Walker, a Republican that was so badly despised he was almost successfully recalled, currently has a huge lead in the polls over his Democratic challenger. You better believed the Democrats will be hosed next week.

paul ryan at least has some credentials of some kind, even if his reputation as a """wonk""" was earned because he can pull a bunch of numbers out of the air and then subtract them. anyway youll note taht ryans last political appearance of any consequence involved getting styled on by the First Hesher of the United States, so its not like hes riding high in the national consciousness either

Some people might wish Walker could be pres so he could just be a spokesperson for their agenda, but the dude is dumb as a bag of rocks. Also no way some dude without a college degree is becoming president, but the Republicans would be the ones to do it so welp Here's Walker getting pranked by a couple radio hosts pretending to be the Koch bros, it's like he's talking to his boss and they even get him to agree to a vague suggestion to insert agent provocateurs in the Democratic recall protests http://youtu.be/WBnSv3a6Nh4

Yeah i suppose i'm willing to vote for Sanders, but i find him to be pretty inadequate and uninspiring and way more acquiescent to the American political status quo than he should be. And this video is especially disappointing and depressing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf2cCdgwgoM And yeah, what's the deal with Scott Walker attending Marquette University from August 1986 until May 1990 yet failing to get a degree? Rick Perry got some pretty lovely grades at Texas A&M, but at least he graduated...
