There is a thread right now where people can brag about illegal activities, so I decided we need a thread for admitting an even more shameful matter: voting Republican.

I am sure someone here has done it.

There are various reasons you might have voted Republican, for example:

1. You were raised in the deep south and until your junior year at Vanderbilt, when you took Sociology 101 and smoked weed/listened to Bob Marley in the same month, you never questioned the way you were raised.

2. You live in a place where positions like District Water Auditor are partisan even though they are just functionaries, so you figured that giving old Gary Brown another four years making sure people's septic systems weren't leaking is not actually an endorsement of fascism.

3. You were voting for your uncle.

4. You were voting for a state senator in a suburb of a west coast city where "Republican" just means you don't believe in making cars illegal.


So who is going to confess, and give an explanation?
