Chipp is the only Japanese character in the game. Everyone else are gaijins. Potemkin players, do not migrate to this game, stick with +R. Fereydun posted:this is canonically what happened to faust to make him put a paper bag on his head TAS Potemkin playthrough of this game should involve guard cancelling into potemkin buster since it was a reversal and had armor and was probably instant, followed by continuously grabbing every character on wakeup including dps and supers. megafist was unsafe on hit and block. charged up slidehead turned into a super with crazy damage. yes, the game is a broken mess, but everyone should try it at least once.

Actually is 4gamer some kind of official strategy guide site or something? Because those pictures of all the moves have no background and are at 1080p, so I'm guessing ArcSys must have provided them.

Bedman has the power of VCRs. Basically every time you do a special move, it leaves behind a marker and you can 'replay' back a shadow version of the same move. The symbol the marker has is just an indicator of which special move it was. None of the replays hit high or low or anything. Other than that, he's got a really flexible air dash, it's not an 8 way but he can still triangle jump and float and such with it. His dash is a teleport + counter which is pretty silly. It continually impresses me how much they had nailed the 2D anime asthetic with the models. They seriously look like sprites till they move around the camera. Lore Question: Why isn't Sol using Fireseal anymore and is using what looks like a giant zippo lighter?

Has there been any word on how well the online portion will play out? Probably too soon to ask. Had a thought about streaming while learning to play a variety of fighting games. I've tried before on my own and I always get so moody about my losses, eventually losing the juice to keep at it. Maybe with people calling me an rear end in a top hat I'll stick around long enough to gain some level of competency. Xrd looks to have a lot going on with plenty of mechanics to think about, that could get overwhelming. On top of running into other dedicated players who will no doubt make learning hell. Sure looks sharp though. I really like the idea of comboing into a one hit kill even if it requires holding onto a lot of resources in order to pull off.

After the cross-pollination between P4A and CP I assume they'll import hold-to-link and hold-to-tech, I'm more worried (excited?) that the game will play too fast for delay netcode to be acceptable. 2F overheads are real online!
