amphetamines don't make me any more efficient at all. i love them recreationally but i never get anything done, i either just get drunk and chainsmoke for like 12 hours or play weird strategy video games while taking bong rips all day so many people are all "i have so much work to do i need some speed" but i have to avoid that poo poo when i need to do a bunch of stuff

Adderall gives me the ability to recognize my hyper phase machinations for what they are before I do dumb poo poo. It doesn't prevent me from doing dumb poo poo but at least I'm aware of it so that's nice.

never tried adderall, probably would have liked it. but modafinil loving owns for awakeness though. there's no crash, no anxious/cloudiness from over caffination and you just feel really awake. i really wish it was OTC. it's not typically prescribed and even if it is, it's still expensive. way cheaper/easier to order it from india Xaris fucked around with this message at 18:53 on Oct 30, 2014 |

for a year or so back when i was like 18 i got the doc to put me on 50mg vyanse, 20mg dexedrine, 3mg xanax, and 3mg klonopin erry day. that was a fun and blurry period but i made a lot of poor life decisions during that time

I dont know why but vyvanse is like being on virtually nothing for me(although still pretty effective for its intended purpose). im not complaining though, all I want these days are the intended effects. im still weaning off though. im going to try things like "exercise" to replace the lost energy and just deal with the rest. voodoo I know but

Now, whenever I see someone having a tough time I want to tell them to take some klonopins.

Adderall has always helped me be functional, but also high doses have always made me pleasantly high. I'm not one of these mythical people who don't get high and only get functional. But it's always about dose. If I dose it like someone who takes it as prescribed would, I don't even feel it, but if i pop 40-60mg it's a party. I got some when I moved recently and it really helped me get over the hurdles and plan for the changes in life that come with that. When I ran out I started losing control again, and I wonder how hard it is to get treatment for ADD as a 25 year old.

One morning, a couple years ago, I had been up for about 30 hours and went and got a huge coffee and went for walk. I was about two miles from my house when I stopped and stared at an older man doing some sort of construction work in a parking lot. For several minutes I just mad-dogged him. He waved to me, and I walked over and asked what he was doing. it was some sort of geological test on the integrity of asphalt. It's used in testing runways and stuff and he told me the story of who developed it and what it's called and demonstrated it for me. It was incredibly fascinating at the time. Cursory googling says it was maybe a "Marshall test." We talked about pavement for a while, then I went home, railed some more adderall, bought more coffee, quoted from the Battle Royale novel at the cashier ("caffeine keeps you sharp, sugar keeps you going") watched some stolen cable then went to work that afternoon. Probably my oddest adderall story. I had a friend who got like 120mg a day from her different doctors and would give it to me by the handful. I used to rail a lot of adderall.

I keep thinking I should go on something for ADD. Instead of slamming energy drinks trying to get wired enough to not daydream. Also hyperfocusing is awesome and the amount of work I do when I do is scary.
