The USA starts with a handful of land units scattered across the country that I left in their starting positions. The Navy is pretty substantial though.

FYI you should go through the files for the AUS and USA generals and remove duplicates from the CSA general list. Far too often does George C Marshall end up fighting George C Marshall when I play the 2nd ACW.

If there's one thing that came across in all the times I've read about MacArthur's life and career, it's that he had a constant need to be in the spotlight, from his ridiculous staging of the Philippines return photo to his Korean War dickery that got him fired. I did flip a coin and it landed on tails so I figured it would be plausible for MacArthur to view America First as a challenge after the event description for the first event describes them being in the same corner. In retrospect, I should have just done the crackdown on both now that I know it causes a delay for whichever faction isn't suppressed but by this point I had done too many test games and rolled with it. It's pretty funny how there's nothing about Smedley Butler, who was an actual socialist by the time the game starts and was almost as popular a figure as MacArthur in the public eye. Of course, Kaiserreich doesn't have many Americans on the development team, and that's somewhat obvious in the ACW2 events.

Most of the leaders are labor leaders (Jimmy Hoffa, who was 23), Abraham Lincoln Corps vets or guys who I think died decades before the game start. oh well

For instance, FDR's assassination is supposed to mirror Long's assassination in real life (while Long gets off scot-free in this universe). On the alternate-ideology note, is that why Wrangel is the nat-pop Russian option? I never got why he would be the more extreme option than Denikin or other White leaders. He certainly isn't comparable to Ungern-Sternberg at least. My impression is that he was picked for that just because he has the cool nickname of The Black Baron. But maybe I'm missing something?

I read the events to suggest that Long drifted into collaboration with a number of more authoritarian types in an event to advance the Share the Wealth agenda and that AUS politics might be rather compromised as a result (there are a number of different paths you can take the AUS down politically, some of which even lead to internal coups).

Since Smedley Butler isnt in KR, I doubt Walter W. Waters (Leader of the Bonus Army) is in it either. Also did no one pay attention to McArthurs disobedience in refusing to stop the attack against protesting veterans? Especially for what his disregard for orders caused later in Korea. Though without changing canon too much I wonder if Butler could be fit in.

In my AUS game I didn't research as the USA to gimp them as much as possible and still started out with almost full up-to-date tech.
